Wow, I really thought a golf course in ZOZO would be a real money maker.

You could have every golfer in town play once a week and not make it work. Golf is dying all over the country much less in small town like ZOZO.

What in the world were they thinking? The deal was never close to cash flowing. The Golf "Pros" lasted less than 10 months. How did Valle del Sol think they would get their money back in this deal?

Valle del Sol (the developers) had no plans of making their money from the golf course. The course only enhanced their ability to sell lots. It was investment in the original investment.

Every time I drive past there I think how sad it is that the bubble burst in this market.A few lives were put on hold while this whole real e state thing works it`s way thru the economy.Plus I think compared to other golf courses around the area,It`s not all that interesting.

I love the golf course. I like playing only 9 holes. NM Ranch Sales put 1.6 million into the course. The city refeused to have a plan B in case this didn't work out. Sounds like what they did the first time when Jackie poured the mmoney to it doesn't it? Why can't we get smart people on the Board?

The first time I arrived in 'Zozo, I thought I took a wrong turn in El Paso. What a nasty, third world town.

It appears to me that the golf course is a complement to land development in the area. This course will re-open and those that golf who live there and who play there will enjoy the opportunity. No you can't expect to make great money on the beginning of any opportunity. Risks are taken and fortunes are won an lost. What is most important is that golf is enjoyed by people who enjoy the game and that a small town is New Mexico can grow from having developer and a course to play on. Running towns down and developers cannot uplift others. Think on the positive side of things in ALL things one does!

This town will be a ghost town by 2020. Bringing in people like Debi Lee just goes to show you that people know this. When our basketball team was down 108 to 39, we sent in our benchwarmers too. Even the fellow who without the arms.

Valle Del Sol is open 7 days a week selling land in a terrible economy. I give them credit most vacant land companies had to shut their doors, they must be doing something right. Also they have made great improvements to the couse and built a beautiful club house. Sad that a con like garner drove the golf course into the ground but since he has been gone the course has started looking better and better.
On another note, every town doesnt have some stupid people, methed-out people, and corruption. What is being done about the "meth" ?????
