"It's been really hard," said fire victim Mike McDermed. "It's something you don't want to go through." "The sheriff pulled up to our front door and told my wife, 'don't take anything just get out of here right now!'" exclaimed McDermed.

There are still road blocks outside the Loma Grande Subdivision. The supervisor of the firefighters out here said he was going to sign off the area as a cold area. The national guard and police won't let residents go get groceries or medicine to bring back into their spouses. The fire has been gone for days. A deputy in here lives normally in his house with his wife and they travel in and out unmolested ?? They opened up hwy 48. I have been caring for a man that normally is cared for by his wife. They won't let her come home to take care of him?? She has tried talking to everyone in charge, they ignore her. One cop said he would take her in but she had to leave after checking on him, she said but I take care of him ! He said, oh well thats the way it is. A hyway cop just shook his head at the road block, you could see he was disgusted with the whole over control thing.
