What is going on with the air? Do you people not monitor air quality? My mother-in-law was rushed to the hospital because she could not breathe. Her oxygen saturation was down. The culprit? The quality of air in your mountain town. Is it because all of the trees are dead? The elderly, inferm and children must be properly advised of hazzardous air quality. It must be managed better immediately.

Sure it isn't the altitude?

It is the altitude combine with low level cloud mass that accumulated yesterday and high humidity. The air is heavy and sitting. The rain may have helped. I have sandbags.

Many seniors have breathing issues. Most is because of the reduced amount of oxygen in the air when you go up in altitude.

Duly noted. However, Ruidoso's air quality needs to be monitored. The village doesn't want it to be. Why? It's worse than the water. The elevation makes it worse. The pollution and lack of trees is making it hard for people to breathe.

There you go again making a statement without any facts. Can you state your source of information that shows the air quality is worse than the water quality? Lack of trees? Everywhere I look in the Village I see trees. In fact the forestry department inspects properties to thin the excess trees. Yes we have a lot of dead trees due to bark beetles and drought, but there are also a lot of live trees left.

Dude, I question the air that you're breathing. A dead tree doesnt give off oxygen. And one tree infected with bark beetles will infect trees from 380 yards in every direction. It is only a matter of time. Only a matter of time. Soon, the oxygen supply store will be traded on Wall Street because well all be lining up to get specialized oxygen tanks to be allow us to breathe in the houses we can't sell.

Thanks for the compliment by calling me Dude. There are more trees now than there were back in the Billy the Kid days. In fact we have too many trees to manage a healthy forest. Yes there are a lot of dead trees, I have quite a few myself that need to be removed. But to say lack of trees is causing an oxygen problem at altitude, is crazy. The oxygen depletes with every 1000 feet of altitude, ask any pilot.
