Little Stinker wrote: <quoted text> Willie Nelsons place (Texas Road House) Sorry but the one i'm referring to is in Los Cruses, west on loman just off freeway. There is one in Albuquerque to but I have not been to that one. I go to Los Cruses twice a month, its my choice for a good inexpensive steak. There's one in Pueblo. If you live in Raton that's closer than Las Cruces and Alb.

If you post anywhere near the TorC threads you learn to ignore the little comment things.

My sentiments exactly. I am not clueless nor am I nuts. There's one in Pubelo. I have never eaten there but have driven by en route to other places near there. And friends of mine have eaten there and told me about it.

It seems to me that since so many of you have complaints, it may behoove you to email: edtinsley@thg-llc.com and maybe they can correct the problems. Most of these facilities are Franchised, and the locations of some may be successful only because they do not get repeated guests. Unless they have a decent chef who is well paid and takes pride in the food he puts out.

Hey that is neat ,yours is the only comment not loaded up with the bad marks.I don`t know what would happen if I did try to complain, but is the past I was insulted with comments like ...."no one else ever complained","Did you loose your money at the casino?".."We are familiar with this routine, you still have to pay.If you don`t like our food we can do without you,we were here before you ever came and I think we can do fine without you.etc etc.So that is why people don`t complain it`s just not worth it.

Unfortunately, that is why some facilities stay in business, that should be closed down. People just do not speak up. Quite frankly, if the food is bad, service is poor and management rude, I inquire information on who owns the place, names of people involved and proceed accordingly. If the information requested is not readily provided, I then let them know that they will hear from my attorney or the Health Department depending on the situation. Nine out of ten times their attitude takes an opposite turn. If not, I walk away and do call the health department and file a complaint on the food, cleanliness, hair etc. If it is a Franchise, like K-BOBS, I contact the Corporate Office Forth With! There is never an excuse for bad service in any establishment that you have to pay for that service.

You have some good ideas, but if the owner hung around long enough he would figure out what was going on.Some owners just start a business and then hope it can run on "autopilot" then they fail anyway! Some owners work them selves to the point of exhaustion and try their hardest and still barley get buy.Like I said I ate at K-bobs many times and I was only unhappy a couple of times.I really think Ruidoso is a special case inso far as labor and monthy sales, because it is so dependant on the weather and gas prices and such.My Uncle was a health inspector for the city of Austin in Texas and he was incapible of enjoying a meal outside of his home and he could harldy eat my Aunts food either.

If the Franchisee has an office there, shame on them for not visiting the business that is making money for them, but ruining the reputation of what used to be an excellent place to eat. Again, I urge anyone who has a gripe with K-BOBS to contact their Corporate Office in Santa Fe. If Mr. Litchfield is the current Franchisee, let the Corporate office look into the situation, they have the clout to have the facilities that carry their name straighened out and cleaned up.

zagot wrote: yup,yup...just goes to show ya---some people will put anything in their mouths if it is cheap enough. Thing is it ain't all that cheap. Have seen food sitting on the loading dock cause they were too busy to put it away. Was there well over an hour. Salad bar is consistent. Consistently wilted. Still waiting for an affordable great restaurant without having to travel out of town.
