Another K. Anderson story. Don't our reporters verify their information prior to printing. 1)Amended charges? How can they be amended charges, if you read the article from Sat. Jan. 26, you see Mr. King was charged with Aggravated Battery Great Bodily Harm, Tampering with Evidence, and Aggravated Fleeing. 2) Mr. King is currently incarcerated NOT, according to the jail logs Mr. King bonded out the afternoon of the 25th of Jan. Now what about the search of Mr. King's vehicle, where is the follow up story on that?? I mean really, if you are going to report a story, report it right!

07/18/1961 DOB Can Lord Karl not get anything right? Or are all the court records wrong on the DOB? I guess it could be sloppy record keeping including the six traffic tickets but I doubt it.

I think the real question is why King went to this bar with a gun and knife? Was this a drug deal gone bad? Is King married? Maybe this was his wife's or girlfriend's lover? This does not seem like a spur of the moment happening or self defense. There is so much to this story we are not being told. BTW has checked the court records on Javier? Does King have connections to Alamogordo Orthopaedics Sports Medicine and Podiarty? I know some one here seem to know King personally so I thought I would ask.

Also since King worked in the OR at the hospital what is or was his relationship with Liz Key? Will there be special favors because of it? Considering Liz's criminal past what secrets could King have on her working with her in the OR?

For those who were all worried about a halfway house in Oro Vista would you rather have an untreated lunatic like this one leaving next to you instead? How about a lunatic who puts your life in his hands every time you go under. Like I said before you never know who your neighbor really is and what they may be capable of. After all King lives in a really nice neighborhood, right?

Since we have not heard the details of events leading up to the stabbing, it is impossible to say wheter his alledged intoxication was a contributing factor.

Yes Mr. King works with Dr. Freeh and Dr. Dodson at that new surgical suite on Indian Wells. I heard he was part owners as well. If Karl Anderson had taken the time to get his facts straight he could have looked up on NM Courts.com that Mr. King's bond was dropped to $150,000.00 with 10 % allowed. Mr. King DID bond out. I still question the gun and knife thing..... no more ADN articles about some search warrant on King's car. As usual, the ADN only puts bits and pieces in their articles..... I guess they are trying to get the community to assume or guess the rest of the story so more juicy rumors can be created.

Oh come on! We all know booze is good after all it is legal. Drugs are bad and turns people into demons. Surely booze would not turn someone so violent right? And we care about his alleged intoxication for what reason? Does that change what he did? Is that even a valid defense in NM? I don't think it is.

Your previous post implied that had he been in treatment, this might not have happened.

Further, alcohol only lowers inhibitions, it's not a hallucinogen. It will cause bad people to act on their impulses, but it does not create those impulses.

At the time the article was written the information in it was accurate. Unfortunately when a story is written and turned over to the editors for confirmation and editing, the clock on events does not stop. Facts will change as time and events passes. What was accurate in one minute can and does change the next minute.

One interesting point to all of this is that apparently this individual also had a similar incident of this nature happen in El Paso before coming to Alamogordo. I imagine that there will be considerably more on this story as time passes.

Queen of Foo: Im shocked at you.
I read your posts with interest, and saw a certain kind of community maturity, sometimes agreeing and sometimes not agreeing with you.
But who authorized you to be CEO of the world?
Name dropping the DA's wifes name in a blog that has not a ferkin thing to do with the DA's wife is abominable. Who anointed you judge and jury. We are not here to discuss the why's and wherefores of Mrs Key. Believe me, I have no respect for her husband, but for you to name drop her is outrageous.
You should be embarrased and ashamed of yourself.

Shame on you!

Excuse me for butting in, but....there are two sources of information for the writer. DPS and the DA's Office. When information is gotten from these sources sometimes there is a conflict. I wonder why! It's an easy out to blame the reporter, but I think one needs to look a bit deeper to find the culprit. As Mr. English so wisely stated, things change from minute to minute. It seems easy to blame Mr. Anderson for everything, but he only reports the information that is given to him by supposedly "reliable police/DA sources." Is the blame not being pointed in the wrong direction? As for bringing up Mrs. Key's name, what does she have to do with any of this? This is just slamming an innocent person. That's wrong.

Mr. King was originally held on a $200,000 bond
with no 10% allowed. The Judge reduced the bond to $150,000, 10% allowed.
There is ALWAYS a representative of the District Attorney's Office involved when a bond is reduced.
There are questions in my mind as to why he was not charged with Attempted Murder, it was a violent crime. He severed the man's spine.
Perhaps his past working relationship with the District Attorney's wife did indeed have something to do with the bond reduction.
Sit in on arraignments in Magistrate or District
Courts and you will see the District Attorney's Office very much involved in bond reductions.

"Perhaps" is the major word here. You don't know and I don't know. But why hang a woman because "someone" thinks that is that is the reason. There is always a "culprit" in these blogs. Have you noticed - or is it just me. If it's not Mr. Anderson, it's the DA, or BLM or people trying to protect their property that they bought with the understanding that they were protected with certain "covenant." My goodness, is no one exempt from this insane rage!!

The first story was in the paper Sat. Jan. 26, 2008, one week ago. That article stated Mr. King's charges to include the felony charges. One week later, today Feb. 2, 2008, the article 'Charges amended in stabbing' is written. The amended felony charges in today's story are the same ones he was charged with in the first story. Mr. King has been out of jail since the 25th of Jan. and today's story states he is still in jail. I am not a journalist but something seems wrong with the writers facts.

And what about this possible previous incident in El Paso. I thought real journalists sought out facts, did actual foot work, and then reported it to the people??

this article does not give a good reason to trust in the medical profession. it worries me that a person like this would be allowed to work in any medical field. isn't there a law somewhere that the company, "any medical sort of job" that they have to do a background check? what is wrong with tne laws that govern things like this.

I may not be local, but I wonder whether this whole thing is about the reporter or the stabber? Let's get the priorities straight. Earlier blogs said that El Paso wouldn't release info on the earlier charge. Maybe someone should check and see what the DA's ofc is releasing to the press. You all seem to have something against your DA. Now even his wife. Now the reporter. Who next??? The judge???

Why would anyone try to throw another person into this that has nothing to do with a man that stabed someone. Its like saying a person that recieved a dui and they work with someone in say "walmart" is somehow involved in the dui. Give me a break, it is so insulting to the community that there are people who are out to destroy people who have nothing to do with the crime. Maybe the people you have or worked are idiots too because you are guilty of being an idiot.
