The prices here have gotten out of hand!! They are $.15 to $.25 higher than anywhere else. I even got gas in greenville for $.27 cheaper than shell station here. If we unite they will have to come down. This is price gouging at its best!

Then explain Greenville being 20 miles further and $0.20 less than Royse City.

I drove to Texarkana and I am paying as much here as I have been in RC. I suppose its up to each individual station in the given town. If I am bein honest I do my best to fill up at Walmart or at a Ractrac or Quiktrip. They are always the cheapest.

When or if we get a Walmart, wonder how much shell or exxon will charge then?

Greenville is always cheaper than RC and usually in line with Rockwall. Sometimes it is even cheaper than Rockwall.

Depends if the Walmart (should it get here)comes with a Murphy station.

I noticed that the Tiger Mart was the highest place in RC this weekend. Seems like they are gouging prices for sure especially since they are usually the lowest in RC.

shell station is always the highest, so this is surprising.

The truck stop exxon seems to be the cheapest in RC. But I mostly buy gas in Rockwall or Greenville.

The news tonight posted that the national average is $3.08. That's $.14 cheaper than Exxon tonight and $.21 cheaper than she'll tonight. Texas is always a couple cents cheaper than the national average and Dallas is always a few cents cheaper than Texas. This is just out of control.

If you read posts here - not necessarily this string - you will see that people seem to be afraid to by gas at the too cheapest stations in town. The two by Soulmans. They are always cheaper there - I have never seen them beat by Tiger or the other Shell. Take you business there and Tiger will come down due to loss of customers.

Wasnt the one next to Soulmans the one that got in trouble a few years ago? It was something about the gas itself I think.

I agree, i've been doing that for a long time now. I usually buy in Rockwall where it's better priced. Shell here are idiots, they miss all the walk in buyers that usually gas up and come inside to purchase something.

The great thing about our country is that at the moment, we are free to buy our gas wherever we choose. You don't like the prices here, go somewhere else. May not be convenient for you, but it's still your choice. Don't get so worked up because a business person put their money on the line to open and run a gas station and decided to sell at a price that you don't like. That is their choice. If they can survive and stay in business, it shouldn't be of your concern.

Second, don't compare our prices with Greenville's. The EPA has so kindly selected DFW and the immediate surrounding communities to have different blends of gas than other counties. That special blend cost more to produce and we get to pay for it. Hunt county doesn't.
