Ok. Ive been here for years. All i know is that we are not moving forward as a city. Almost everyone here thinks we have something, yes we have something. We have a shitty town. Nothing wants to be here! I cannot believe Rockwall County allows us to be a part of it. They may kick us out. I hear morons talk about balch springs, the grove and quinlan. I think we are worse than all 3. At least most folks in those towns arent fake and think they are wealthy. Rc is crappy and only getting worse

I agree with the original post. And to the second poster, if it wasn't such a dump, I'd be able to sell my house and leave, but no one wants to move in....no people, no businesses. You have our city council to thank for it too. What a joke.

The question is are they selling for the value they had a couple of years ago or below? I looked into selling my house and the agent said I should list it at 25k less than I paid and be willing to take an additional 5k - 10k off of that price if we needed to sweeten the deal. So like so many other I am stuck here. And where are these house selling "like Crazy"?

Yea, they're call foreclosures. They're selling for half of what they're worth. It screws the people like us who took care of and upgraded their house/property. Keep making excuses.

I agree with your post on the town. However I made the decision as you did to buy and move into Royse City and I made that decision when the town was the same shape as it is today.

So what is the real complaint? Bad decision on your part!

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It just means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.

After all, we all have imperfections and yet, there are still people that love us...people that love you!

Happiness is a Choice to Be in the midst of any circumstances. Its internal, not external.

I hope you find a place to love to live.

For me----I love it! Best wishes!

I just moved here recently, from Garland sure it is not developed to its potential as yet, but that is what I like about it. it is not too far from Rockwall and the people seem very friendly, much more so than in G-land

I was not assuming i was stating my opinion. The imperfections don't bother me or I would have never bought here. I love where we live. Any where I have lived people find issues and reason to complain. I'm just proud to be born and raised in a country that is free and we have the opportunity to choose. In the scheme off things and what is going on in the world our towns appearance is not high on my list of worries.

Heres an idea. Instead of sitting around bitching and complaining do something productive like participating in community events or volunteering to help make it a better place. Thats the problem today prople like you wanna bitch and want everybody to do the work while you sit around and whine and cry about how terrible things are. Do your part or shut the hell up.

Actually, the problem is those who make assumptions and know nothing about the person they are taking aim at. You know nothing about me and my family or our service to our Country, State, and Community. I can't get involved in politics, but I can demand our elected officials do what they are elected to do. So before you go flapping your gums about something you know nothing about, I suggest you look in the mirror first.

Who said anything about politics. I look in the mirror everyday and Im not on here complaining you are. So then the question is what are you doing to help make your community a better place?
