Freedom of speech?!
Really it's just a way of bickering and trying to spread their version of the word of god. We all believe differently so they argue who is right. I believe, that if I believe in god and try to live my life the best I can I will be ok when I die. I live for my wife, my kids, and my community. I will die for my god. All I hope for is I will be remembered when I leave and I pray one day I will see all my loved ones again when I'm gone. I don't know what else I can do. I have to provide for my family and I. And I give to my community. I am a good man and I do not try and make people do things they can not do or make them believe they are in any way inferior to me. Nor do I preach to others that their beliefs are wrong or that they can not be saved or blessed without beliefs. God will reach those in need and he will do what he does. I have no control or power over that. So I LIVE!

Because of two tools....they know who they are. They are as divisive as anyone I've ever met, but claim to be in the "right" or "one" church. One where only they will be going to Heaven. More than anything, it's to save lost souls from the danger they present.

Haha.....you will never provoke me or test my faith. My life is awesome because of my beliefs and they are not wholly in line with your beliefs. But good luck with all that.

You mad bro.....?!

I agree Taffy and would also add this as their intention..."With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors..." They have no intention of doing any good, only destroying. Sad sad sad.

This explains why they (the two) have not found love or faithfulness.

But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness."

A person lives to themselves nearly their whole life and then right at the end—they accept Christ and heaven is theirs to enjoy forever! Doesn’t seem fair, does it?

When we accept salvation from Jesus Christ, we all accept the same deal—eternal life with the Savior. If someone accepts Christ at ten years old or at age 85, lying on his deathbed—what’s the difference? Are you envious of God’s generosity? No! We love his generosity. Don’t ever change that, God!

Remember the thieves on the Cross? One thief cursed Jesus, the other defended Him. At the last moment, he said to Jesus:“remember me when you come into your kingdom”(Luke 23:42). And Jesus forgave him! The time of forgiveness doesn’t matter! Anytime is the best time to receive Christ! And it is indeed the reward of a lifetime!

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”(Ephesians 1:7)

There should only be one thread for the religious posts. No one wants to be on RC topix because of all the same crap over and over. I really would like to hear from the folks about what's going on & their ideas. Also ban the trolls.

I will tell you what is truly sad. People who judge the motives of another person when in-fact they have no way of knowing WHY someone does anything unless they tell you why.

Just wondering, does the church you attend teach on not judging motives but rather judging a righteous judgment?

24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.(Jn 7:24)

I am a member of the church of Christ and the reason I teach what I do (the bible) is b/c of the love of people who may be lost if they do not know God and obey not the gospel (2Thess.1:7-9).

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

People hate me b/c I teach just what the verse above teaches. The Lord will return and punish those who do not know God and do not "OBEY THE GOSPEL".

The problem is all denominations teach you can be saved without doing anything (Acts 10:34,35)(Jn 9:31)(Heb. 5:9)(James 2:24). They do not stop there though, they go on to say if you do anything, if you add anything to the finished work of Jesus on the cross you will be teaching a false doctrine. BUT then they go on to teach people they need to say a prayer to be saved.

Do you see something wrong with what they are teaching?

Doesn't God have enough since not to have the truth contradict itself?(1Cor.14:33)

33 For God is not the author of confusion...(1Cor.14:33)

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Members of the coC like to have BCV. Could you give me book chapter and verse for the following statement?

You Say - "A person lives to themselves nearly their whole life and then right at the end—they accept Christ and heaven is theirs to enjoy forever"

they accept Christ and heaven is theirs

they accept Christ and heaven is theirs

they accept Christ and heaven is theirs

BCV please for the statement above.

Next - You Say - "The time of forgiveness doesn’t matter"

Me - so when we read Pauls conversion in (Acts 22:16) and it says -

(Acts 22:16)-

1. Arise

2. Be baptized

3. Wash Away Your Sins

Can we change the word of God and say Pauls sins was washed away BEFORE he was baptized when the verse above says he was forgiven AFTER he was baptized?

How about say he was forgiven even before he confessed Jesus was the Son of God?

Would that be OK to change the word of God in such a manner?

*******

Is there a verse which tells us WHEN we are "in Him"?

Does the bible say we believe "into Him" or believe "in Christ".
