Anyone know what happened to the house on 276 at the Alexander Ranch Addition.

It has just burned nearly to the ground.

I have a suspicious feeling that it was intentionally set. That is just my gut feeling though.

That is the second house that burned in that addition. The first one was either from lightning or an electrical short. But it was not set on fire on purpose.

Just my two cents but I think it must have caught on fire to have nearly burned to the ground. This happens on occasion when you mix fuel, oxygen, and some form of ignition source. The mystery is solved.

We saw the flames from I-30 on Saturday night. Big fire. I was suprised to see it that far out. Must have been HUGE up close. I feel for the family if it was accidental. Has to be a horrible feeling to have your house burn.

When the last house burned a few years ago, there was an article about hoe the fire hydrants did not work and the fire department couldn't get them turned on because the valves were turned off at 276 and no one had a tool to turn them on. The reason was because of 9/11 and terrorism. Some kind of stupid B/S.

Back to the house. The house that burned a couple of years ago was only 2 or thee houses down from this one. As a builder, it makes me wonder if the same contractor built alot of those houses in that subdivision. If so, I would be scared.

From my understanding, some older kids went down there when it was on fire and said that there were some people being arrested. That is hearsay though.

There was another fire closer to I30 on the same night at the same time. It was haybales burning off of 548.

Like I said earlier that I think this was intentioanlly set. I don't have any facts to back that up but just my gut feeling. People will do anything for insurance claims. Does anyone know if they got any possessions out of the house or not?

the house was going into foreclosure...I live in Alexander Ranch, and many of us believe it was purposely done.

Well, if it was burned for insurance money or foreclosure, it will be some time before anyone buys that property.

Does anyone know the guy that has the wind powered electric windmill? Wonder what are his savings?

It will take years to pay off that windmill and to see any savings.

The first fire in Alexander Ranch was stupidity, both home owner and fire department. Not builder or electrical. Hot curling iron on bed, no key to open the hydrant....priceless

The second fire was arson. Heard the husband was arrested. The ugly fence is to hold their evil pit bulls....which were not home at the time of the fire.

how do you know that it was arson?
who told you the husband was arrested?
are you writing facts or rumors?

Well, it is a fact that the fence is ugly. With a home of that size and the expense of the home, you would expect to see a better fence.

the fence is ugly and the guy is an idiot, but to say he is an arsonist is over the line unless he has been charged

Yea and they sued rockwall county and a ton of money from it too (Of course they have been going through it like water and I'm sure it will be gone in another year). They are sue happy anyway, anyone who knows them knows that for a fact!

I met the guy in the second house several years ago. We had car trouble and stopped in from of his house. Pit bulls come racing at me. He said "don't run! say Good Girl" It worked but I was a bit nervous.

He offered to help. Invited us in or something to drink. I thanked him and declined.

He introduced himself as "Lucky Bastard".
"OH" I replied. He then continued asking do you know what they call me "Lucky Bastard"? "Because my mom died and I inherited all her money. Now I'm retired"

Now I don't like to accuse anyone of anything I didn't see but I had a feeling that day that he was burning through some cash.

As I passed by the house on occasion I couldn't help but notice things. Mercedes Benz, 4WDS, trailers. You know thing$...

OH By the way. My mom is still alive and I'm no bastard. That makes me lucky I suppose.

Very lucky indeed!

I live near this home and passed it on a daily basis. They would park those fancy little sports cars and such in the front yard and pulled right up to the front door. Nice! A bunch of crap in the back yard that was very visible through that lovely fence. I felt sorry for the neighbors! The home seemed oddly vacant about two weeks before it burned. Everything was cleaned out...even the back yard. My gut feeling when I saw it...Hmmm...suspicious...
