Billy is a false teacher on many subjects. Baptist teach his same error on the purpose of water baptism. They say a person is saved without it.

It's the truth. If you stop trying to defend homosexual marriages you could probably see it. |

Judged: 1 1 perhaps if you had an education you'd understand the difference between fact and opinion. ...add to that the bonus of actually being able to stay on topic for change as well. |

Judged: 1 and perhaps if you're such a divisive personality you'd be a better person to actually discuss things with. instead, you want to splinter the body of Christ into this "me vs. them" mentality. |

Judged: 1 Billy Graham does all the damage to himself when it comes to spiritual matters. One cannot read (Mt. 7:13,14) and then turn right around and claim everyone will be saved regardless of what the word of God says, and still be pleasing to the Almighty God. thetruthinlove.com |

would a real christian (follow of Christ) continue to splinter the body of Christ? |

i'm not really a follower of Billy Graham - although I have family members that do. i understand that he's held in high regards by many christians and i understand that he's done much to further christianity. what i cannot stand for is someone that attempts to divide the body of Christ (the followers of Christ = christians). |

Followers of Christ do as the Lord commands without rejecting or changing the LAW of GOD (NT LAW). The word of God plainly states that one must believe and be immersed into water for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)(Acts 22:16)(Acts 8:35-39). The word of God also includes baptism (water immersion for remission of sins)) as a part of the gospel plan according to (Mark 16:15,16). It is those in denominations which are dividing and rejecting the word of God (John 12:48)(1Cor.1:10)(Phil. 3:16-19). When someone claims baptism (water immersion) has no part in the gospel plan of salvation they have placed themselves in opposition to the Lord, for (Mark 16:15,16) makes it very clear that baptism (immersion in water for remission of sins) is a part of the salvation plan of God. I would hate to be the one who stood in opposition to the words of our Lord. Believe + Baptism = Saved (Mark 16:15,16) Can Billy Graham who teaches a doctrine which totally opposes the word of God (the Bible) be pleasing to the Lord while teaching this false doctrine? Not according to (2John 9)(1Thess.4:1,2). 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God....(2John 9). It really does not matter how many people back a false teacher like Billy Graham. The backing of so many people all the while teaching spiritual error means nothing to the Lord. The Lord is concerned with loving Him and mankind enough to stand for truth no matter what comes our way. In (John 17:20,21) the Lord gave us a very good reason to be speaking the same thing and making the very same judgments. The very thing you think is not possible nor necessary for salvation. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou ...that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. ...that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. ...that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. The atheist population is growing b/c of the division they see in religion. gbntv.org Gospel Singing Great Bible Lessons No asking the public for money. |

No, and I am trying to help bring people who are concerned about religious matters together not separate them. We cannot please the Lord nor go to heaven while teaching false doctrines. Grace will not cover continual sin (Heb. 10:24-31). 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, thetruthinlove.com |

In the Matthew account, in the great commission Jesus instucts/commands to:
make disciples of Him baptize them teach them to keep His commandments. Acts 2 shows the fulfillment of the promise to Abraham in Jesus Christ for all who come to believe and obey. Acts 3 fortifies the commandments of Jesus and everything He taught as a fulfillment of the prophecy of Moses.(3:22,23) I know a lot of 'educated' persons who profess to know a lot, but don't believe God. They tend to make up what they want to believe and cast the truth of God aside rather easily if it isn't what they want to hear. Human logic won't save you. We can see where it's gotten the world so far:-) Should be a wake-up call to return to do the will of God as taught by Jesus. |
|
Well, THAT one is a missunderstanding... Have you ever, ever, ever, since being baptized, done anything you knew you shouldn't do, or forgot you weren't to do, or such? If we are told to foregive seventy times seven times a day - as men, it's unlikely that God will not foregive - no one is perfect just because they are baptized. What Hebrews is talking about is there is only one sacrifice for sins, and that if a Jew left the Christian faith to turn back and practice OT sacrifice, those OT sacrifices in ordinances are no longer in effect, and would be unable to atone for sin any more, and was in fact to reject the very Lord and Savior they professed! Seems a more upright take on that passage. It is possible to misunderstand Scripture - why some even practice baptisms for the dead over what Paul wrote in II Cor 15. |

Checking the web site - more Wayne Jackson fans:-)
They need to formulate true doctrine through the lens of focus on what Jesus said first, not Paul. |

Jesus said we would be judged by the very words He spoke that the Father gave Him to give us. |

repeating yourself really does nothing to prove your any more corect. so look, i'm not a follower of how you guys follow your faith in God and Christ. nor will I ever be. just as how i follow faith in God and Christ doesn't suit you. and I accept that. i don't expect you to give up your ways, your beliefs, your ways of thinking and believing to follow how i do it. i'm just sick and tired of you guys dogging other denominations for doing it their way. i'm sick and tired of seeing you guys splitting the body of Christ up into segments and telling everyone else that IS a Christian that they're wrong for how they believe and follow their faith. i'm sick and tired of seeing your vain attempts and expectations for everyone else to drop what they're doing and follow YOUR interpretations and ways. you profess your ways to be from the bible - guess what. so does everyone else. so just live with it and deal with it in your own way because no one's going to change to suit YOU...and yes, i know your response will be "but it's not my way, it's the Lord's" and therein lies your corrupted fantasy. IT IS YOUR way not anyone else. so deal with that reality and stop defacing the body of Christ. |
