In a time the city is in a financial crisis, I find it hard to believe we are paying someone $93,000 per year. Lets get real.

This guy not only makes $93,000 a year from tax money, he also has a big ownership stake in Texas Leadership Bank. Could someone tell us what he has actually brought to the city. This whole EDC needs to be investigated. How can he be the highest paid person in the city?

I believe he was inspirational in organizing the famers market in downtown Royse City. That alone is worth $93,000 a year. Last weekend there was a least three vendors there.

If the mayor wants to make an impact how about getting rid of this position.

Larry Lot is the one who runs this city not the mayor or the city manager. He has his hands in everything. I agree with Joe the council needs to call for a complete investigation of the EDC. How can the council justify paying someone $93,000 per year. Larry claims all the business he has brought to town, The guys I talk to with local business agree the EDC is a waste of the peoples money.

It sounds like I am not the only one who thinks this whole EDC is fishey. How come the newspapers have not looked into this? Where are the investigative reporters?

Our EDC is a complete failure! Larry Lott brings nothing to the table never has. The fast food places opened here on their own. Fast food establishments love interstate real estate. I don't even consider fast food progress.

I attended a council meeting last year and some man asked, Mr. Lott; "what is your plan for bringing in retail and commercial?" Larry Lott, EDC director was unable to answer the question.

EDC certainly does need to be checked out by an outside agency based on all the free funds handed out that provide us no positive impact.

Where do you sign up for this amount of money at? If you have ever seen his home, this amount of money should be no surprise. I am guessing 300K plus value.

Correction 500K home! On a 93K a year salary, something does not add up here?

You can thank the idiots in council that also gave him a hefty raise last year while the city begged for money to pay bills and layed people off.

Will the mayor or anybody on the council stand up and ask for an investigation and if not an investigation how about a lack of return on the peoples investment

How did you surmise the fact that he's getting paid that yearly salary? Is this another rc rumor or truth you can substantiate with proof? If shown to be factual, I am in agreeance with everyone.

The salaries of all the Royse City Employees were requested by a few members on the council. The City Manager tried to evade it but pressure prevailed. Larry Lot Makes $93,000 The Royse City police Chief is in the similiar range. Kari Holifield has created a position called Main St. Cordinator and makes just under $48,000. This program runs the farmers market which last week had three vendors. It is way out of line when the highest paid person in the city is the head of the EDC

I'm happy to hear that our council is requesting this information. They have a right to know where the money goes. Perhaps they realize the wasteful salaries in place for these lazy executives.

From what I have seen the mayor went in with good intentions but as many do he is becoming part of the city hall crowd. How hard is it to hold the adiministration accountable. fair is fair these guys think they are above the citizens and feel no responsibility to us.

I think the only way we can really change what is going on is through the election process, we need to put ballot measures on the ballot in the upcoming election. We can limit a lot of the bull that goes on via a ballot measure. Im willing to lead it but I need help, first part will be finding an attorney who can help. Little Bill the city attorney will do all he can to fight any ballot measure.

I have recently learned that I made a few bad assumptions in my previous posts. Larry Lott had made his fortune before coming to Royse City. His salary may seem high to some but it is less than he is qualified to earn we are lucky to have him. As for the councilperson that gave me this information to post on the internet, I am now ashamed that I listened to you. I will probably have a hard time agreeing with anything you have to say in the future. Why are you creating problems among the very people you swore to help? I hope no investigative reporters show up now because they will just discover how uninformed people like myself, Kevin and other are and that would be very embarrassing.
