Pennsylvanian Gov. Tom Corbett isn’t sleeping well. Two recent surveys by Public Policy Polling (PPP), and a Quinnipiac Poll, reveal he has nightmarish prospects for defeat in 2014 – not only in the general election, but also in his own party’s primary contest. If the numbers are not enough to concern him, then the donors who are looking for someone else to run, and lead, should cause him a restless slumber.

Testing the waters for a second run against Corbett is Montgomery County Commissioner Bruce Castor. Castor, who is a highly accomplished trial lawyer, has been elected four out of the five times that he’s run for public office. The only time he didn’t win was when he ran against Corbett in the 2004 Republican Primary for Pennsylvania Attorney General. There are several reasons, though, that the scales might tip in Castor’s favor this time around.

A major reason why Corbett’s not faring well in recent polling is his handling of the notorious Penn State University child sex scandal that sullied the university’s reputation. The pace of the investigation left most Pennsylvanian’s asking why it appeared to move slowly. Corbett’s handling of the PSU sex scandal was at the forefront of last year’s Attorney General election, which saw Kathleen Kane trounce her Republican opponent. She became the first woman, and first Democrat, to win the row office. Kane’s campaign pledge was to investigate Corbett’s investigation of Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky, who sits in jail charged as a convicted pedophile. Political experts believe that Kane’s smashing victory was actually a referendum on Corbett.

According to PPP, Corbett is one of the most unpopular governors in the country. He currently is scoring an overall 38 percent approval rating. Among women, Corbett’s numbers are notably bleaker, with only 30 percent of women approving of his job in office, which constitutes a worse gender gap than that suffered by 2012 Presidential Republican nominee Mitt Romney. Corbett’s support in the general election is stuck in the low 40s against all potential Democrat challengers. Worst of all for Corbett: only 45 percent of Republicans want him to remain as Governor.

Actually, Lou, Corbett HAS BEEN elected so his 'elect-ability' is 100%. Choke on it. Just like your mother on the porn sites.
Pennsylvanians are not buying what this guy is selling. Privatizing to make the rich richer is his mantra. I truly doubt if the voters will be that stupid a second time. Wait a minute they did vote for Bush twice, well not exactly twice, one was an appointment.
Tax cuts for big business and defunding education... sounds about right for neocons.
1.7billion in tax credits for 12,400 jobs? So basically it's a good deal to spend $137,096 for each job created? Wouldn't it just be easier and more of a sure thing to give 24,800 people a $68,548 salary each and pay them to fix our infrastructure? Seems you wouldn't have the side effect no one is talking about, which are the health costs that inevitably will go up for all the people forced to work in this chemical waste disposal industry, the surrounding areas and the environmental devastation and cost also brought about by such an industry.

Voting Republican should be seen as treason and punished as such.

LOL

Treason, like first degree murder, is a capital crime carrying a death penalty. But you advocate imprisoning or executing the 61,000,000 Americans who voted for Romney.

You're far more dangerous to our nation and society than those you detest.

So much for your opinion.

I'll get back to blowing my baby batter all over your mother now, Lou.

These tea baggers are hilarious. They've fought everything Obama has done and, like Bush, it was a complete failure. Unemployment is down. Stock market is up. Illegal border crossings down. Deportations up. Senseless war deaths over. Auto industry up. Housing industry up. 12 attacks on embassies and consulates under Bush killing 60 Americans. One under Obama. They're fresh out of tea bagger bullshit. It sucks because we need these idiots in the news. Nothing brings voters en masse than their fear of women, blacks, minorities and the educated. Maybe they'll be able to come up with something soon. I think we should threaten a ban on fruits and vegetables. Then the dumbasses would end our weight problem.

LOL,'you sick f#@k.' You're more concerned about your mother's honor than the lives and rights of the sixty-one million Republican-voting Americans you advocate imprisoning or executing.

Here's a tip for you,'fool.' Eliminate unnecessary insults and sexual innuendo from your political posts if you want no response to them.
