Dear Postmaster
I am so happy with our new postal person, my mail isn't getting mixed up with west windemere, it comes at a decent time. She dosen't walk over our lawns, I hope you will put my letter into consideration to leave her on our route.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Is there some reasonable explanation why I am receiving my mail 5-7 days after it's been mailed to me. Yesterday, 22-Sep-09, I received two pieces of mail; one stamped 14-sep-09 and the other stamped 16-Sep-09. Also, I have yet to receive receipt verification for a package mailed on the 15th of this month.

I just received notification of a delivery to my address. This was an item I have been expecting all week. I was home throughout the day and this item was never delivered. I have had my mail delivered to the wrong address for months with the carrier that has taken over this route. I have made numerous complaints and have never received a call back in response.

So I go and stand in an endless line to get express mail services. And guess what, a week later it hasn't even been entered into the system. My mortgage payment is now late when it should have been delivered overnight. I'll be using Fed Ex from here on out. And bright and early on Mon. everyone in Royal Oak proper will be hearing my screams coming from this post office as I "voice" my frustration and anger.

Dear Postmaster,
I had an incident happen at another post office branch, not the Royal Oak one, but would like to contact someone who cares. In October, I went into the post office on Van Dyke in Centerline. I had a package to mail. I was told how much it was and gave the postal employee, Toni, who was the only one behind the counter at that time, a twenty dollar bill. I am absolutely positive it was a twenty, as I almost said "No problem cashing a twenty, is there?", but thought of course there wouldn't be a problem. I handed the bill to Toni. She took it without saying a work and gave me back change for a five. I protested, saying I was sure it was a 20, but she just said no, it was a 5, and carried her drawer into the back room. It was closing time. Her drawer balanced. Now the ONLY way that could have happened was if she pocketed 15 bucks on her way to the back room. As I said, she was alone at the time. I went back on the next business day and talked to the supervisor. She gave me the number of Consumer Affairs, which I called right away. They took a report and basically told me there was no way to prove what had happened and that I wouldn't be hearing anything more. I asked to see the surveillence footage from that day, but it seems there are no cameras in that particular office.

It's very frustrating to know I'm right, to know that Toni ripped me off intentionally, and not be able to do anything about it.

If you hear of further complaints about this employee, keep in mind that my complaint is on record. She's probably done it before and she'll probably do it again. Hopefully someone will eventually be able to prove it.

I have quit going to the Centerline office, even though it's the closest one to my house. If I had a realistic choice, I would go somewhere other that the USPS entirely.

The lady that answered the phone was very rude and refused to help. She kept on insisting that I had the wrong number, but a different representative had called the night before and left the SAME NUMBER I DIALED. You need to seriously consider who you hire and they all need a severe attitude check.

Today was food collection day and I had 4 bags of groceries on
my front porch. When the mailman delivered the mail, he said
he would come back later to pick them up.
It is now 7:30p.m. and he never came back.
I am very upset about this, and will not bother in the future
to put out any food on your collection days.
