What kind of idiot brings a "rescue" pit bull into a home where there are children? Even the most gentle one-owner pit bulls raised from puppies and never mistreated have been known to turn on their owners and members of their owners' families and do serious damage or kill. And these fools trusted a "rescue" pit bull around their child? These so-called parents placed their child in unreasonable danger and should lose custody of not only the child attacked by that 4-legged shark, but any other children in the home.
Even though I have no sympathy whatsoever for these sorry excuses for parents, the organization that allowed that monster to be adopted is equally at fault and should be held equally liable for this child's medical bills -- and they will be exorbitant because she is facing years of plastic surgery!

OMG...you're an idiot! You don't even have statistics to base your theory on. Who the hell do you think you are to judge someone elses parenting skills when you don't even know the situation.

Im going to have to question your logic Roast. Not all pitbulls are aggressive, and for all we know the child could have been playing with the dog or aggravating it. Its part of being a child is to discover or test things you dont know. she pokes the dog, dog makes noise, child continues because she doesnt know any better. Its essentially like saying any parent with a stove top should lose their children because they burned themselfs on it once and its happened in almost every household.

Yeah Matt all those people mauled & killed by sweet pitts/bully breeds deserved it. Maybe they looked at the dog! That could set them off too. Maybe those rotten tots breathed right next to a pitt!
Face it, bully breeds are unpredictable & commit the VAST MAJORITY of maulings & killings of people & pets. There's a message in there can you figure it out? Let me spell it out for you-poodles, goldens & labs are rarely the perpetrators of maulings & killings of innocent victims. Hmmmm

Kathy, when someone puts their child in a dangerous situation right at home no less, we do get to judge their parenting skills. A responsible parent does not put their child in harms way. Bringing a pitt (even worse, a rescue pitt) into your home is a reckless thing to do.
You want statistics? 65-75% of serious maulings & killings of people & animals are committed by bully breeds. There's no vast conspiracy by the media to hide all the maulings done by goldens or collies Kathy. If I have a choice to get attacked by a pitt or a golden, I'll take the golden, cause I'm confident I'll easily survive the collie, it's a crapshoot with that pitt/rottie etc.
