How is it that with all the problems Rob Whittle has created that he can still continue new developments? Anyone have the details on the project in Heath -- golf course, I believe and a development that goes to the lake ?

Don't you know it's not what you know, but who you know. It's is this way throughout Rockwall County.

We do not need any more housing development in Heath; what we need is commercial development to diversify the tax base, however the City's very expensive planning and architectural zoning to mimic Southlake Square has raised the cost so high; for example, two story brick, that no sane businessman would consider building anything here; Heath will lose revenue to Forney and Rockwall for a long, long time. Anybody remember Heath Village name change?

The absolute last thing Heath needs is for Rob Whittle to be involved in any building projects in the City of Heath or Rockwall...he has ruined enough of our lands and lives. What a crook,..can't believe anyone would make a deal with this penny anny crook!

The problem which needs to be addressed is that there should be no conflicts of interest between the City government, the P&Z committee, and the City Council; none; whether a direct financial stake or even due to familial ties. I was told twenty years ago that this City was run with a good old boy hand; has that really changed.

I am appalled with the values of Rockwall County. It is apparent the politicians must be paid off! Anyone that condones the practices of this developer has limited morals! Protect the taxpayers, homeowners and businesses!

Rob Whittle sure is a slick one, he can take your tax money and make you smile with an old burrito with cheese on top....hey, at least you'll get a tax funded golf course out of this shady deal....

This project has been to the Heath City now three times; with the City having to pay for planning fees; Heathens should attend these meeting and let the City know their feelings.

Rob and Lorne are not brothers in law. Sarah Whittle's father and Lorne Liechty's father were first cousins. That would make them very distant cousins. They did not even grow up in the same state and saw each other rarely and occasionally growing up.

This was recently explained by the mayor after the intergalactic comments of the very ignorant Joan Ream were blabbered about in a council meeting.

If you attend these meetings with the 25-50 average folks you'll know that Lorne is not easy on Rob at all.

Rob has offered free club memberships and reduced lot pricing to all the Cowboys and Maverick players.
Least we will get a few good Hip-Hop clubs.

So Whittle brings in a car guy with "money" and the rest of his "team" that already needs to get paid so they don't lose their a**es on lost time for 5 years and all the sudden the project is back on track????? This is comical. I was one of 50 peeps at last meeting and these guys are j-o-k-e-s. No $. Want city money to pay back Noe's money he's borrowing and dummies at City Bank that keep loaning Rob $. Just plain dumb.

Heath needs some apartments and lower income housing. Whittle should work with the Rockwall housing authority to build some of this stuff in Heath. I find it funny that people love to trash Rob Whittle yet he developed a lot of Heath and it looks way better than the trashy developments that the City of Rockwall has allowed!!!!!!

I am a long time resident of the area - family goes back to the beginning of North Texas. Rob Whittle has brought 30% of the existing Tax base into Heath. No one else has. In all deals, money gets spent chasing success. Not all deals work out the way they were intended from the beginning. Heath has avoided the smaller homes and the apartments. Heath home owners pay their school taxes and enjoy some of the better schools in North Texas. I for one am glad that Whittle has brought high level developments to my home town. The Heath Golf and Yacht Club are a fine example of may become a crowning jewel for Heath. The volume builders get in, build cheap homes and get out - whittle has not done that. The financing goes where the good ideas are. The city of Heath is taking a good look at this and will do their due diligence. I hope it works out that we all get more and better rooftops so we can attract quality commercial developers to the city.
