Humboldt family values. LOL!

He son even kept his name as a scion of the old empire.

Accessory to murder, abused or not. He could have helped any of those poor women, but did not.

I would imagine that the fear the 16 year old boy had of his father would have outweighed the desire to help the victims.

fear or not, this kid knew this was wrong, we dont even know that he himself was not involved some how, 16 is old enough to know right from wrong....not sure if i would impose any jail time to this kid, but i would not, just shake his hand, and say thanks for the info.

The son broke the case, but why silent for so long and to live with this and tell no one? Seems to me, the law is lax!

I feel deeply for this young man. I pray that with Gods wisdom and mercy he can now have some peace in his life. I am very certain he had no control over the actions of his father, he to was a victim of such actions. To the people that believe it is :"Scion of a wealthy family", for what you feel could possibly be right. This young man is of the thrid generation, which seems to have more love and generosity to his fellow humans than his forefathers apperantly had. So if vengeance is what you are wanting, your a few decades to late. But there is a song that is called independence day sung by Martina McBride that realy gives this attitude of wealth and priviledge a truethful light. I pray that God gives him peace and freedom for this situation. We are proud of you and hope that you and your's can feel the love we want you to have. Thank you for doing the right thing.

16 or not, the younger Christie assisted in the murder of at least one woman and the rape, torture & kidnapping of other women. Where are these other women and why did they never report these attacks?

Also, what happened after age 16 when Turpin was murdered? At the very least he should be extradited & questioned about other women's disappearances.

This "young man" is 38 years old & kept quiet about the murder & other crimes for 22 years. Even many years after his father died he kept silent.

Isn't that just a little curious?

It must of taken alot for this son to finally come forward. If you've never been abused and tormented as it sounds this son has you dont know what it took him to finally let go of the guilt and pain he had to submit to and indure from a sick father and yes we can all ask Why so long to come forward our mind can adapt to so much we can try and block it out we can try to say it never happen just to survive everyday living, but it will always haunt us for this son to cope with everyday life he choose to block it till he finally got the courage to stand up to his father even though he had died 4yrs ago he was still scared of him I pray he can finally sleep at night and the nightmares of the past will rest.

For the curious:

I didn't choose to be traumatized throughout my childhood by a criminally insane father. I won't try to answer everyone. Thank you to those who understand my position. After the murder, my father spent the next ten years openly debating whether or not to kill me. I expect that many people cannot understand what it's like to grow up in Hell. It's easy to throw out condemnation and blame. It's harder to understand. I'm here to help with that. However, I have a feeling that the people who have the patience to try and understand already do, and that the rest of you are accustomed to judging rashly without consideration. None of you know me, and you have no idea what you're talking about.

In my family of "wealth and privilege", I often heard comments like the ones above. "That rape victim shouldn't have dressed like such a slut." "That altar boy should have told on the priest." Apparently ignorant statements come from all walks of life.

Not many things or people are what they appear.
You can't judge anyone until you walk it their shoes.
All that glitters is not gold.

I surely can understand what the son had to have felt and now feels.
