let's remember, these people still have to be tried in court.
Well yes...to send them to jail....or (if a newspaper) to avoid being sued. But this is a public forum that doesn't need government rules telling us what we can or can not say. Many on this public forum bring information you will NEVER see in a newspaper (for whatever reason). The purpose of a public forum is to provide a venue for those who which to speak their piece.

I don't believe it's correct to try to muzzle (replace with any word you like) any person from speaking their mind, no matter if you agree or not. In a court of law, I agree, it's a different story.

A while back here someone defended a convicted thief in similar words but my comment was that, unlike a court of law, we could make reference to his lifelong history and how only a small percentage of his crimes were what he had been convicted for. You can't say this in a court of law but in the court of public opinion you can say anything you please....it's beautiful. We never got back any kind of rejoinder, because they didn't have a leg to stand on...., in this court of public OPINION.

So please try to keep the two courts seperate in your mind. Thanks.

Id like to begin with saying in this country we have rights, NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE or WHAT CRIME YOU ARE BEING CHARGED WITH! PERIOD! They are entitled due process, if the law does its job, justice will prevail. Those rights apply to U.S. citizens, which means you were BORN IN THE United States.(for those ignorant morons who dont know the difference) I read there is substantial evidence against the defendants, Drugs, weapons, mostly, but If I recall, the 2nd Amendmant says, a citizen of this country, may and has the right to possess, own, purchase any weapon within the limits of the law of the state they reside in. So there is no offense commited there if they had legally purchased them. So what does that leave now? Drugs, which is a war this country has been losing for many years now, You have to go back to the 60's to see its Negative effect begin on our society, You have the Free-spirited movement, expermintation happening with heavy drugs, who where the young people trying these drugs? Middle-class america, from all types of backgrounds. 70's you have Vietnam playing a role, there was a draft, so much of your youth came back with habit, mental & Psychological problems and now the U.S. is about to begin the 80's with Glamour drugs, the 90's and early part of this decade is just an afterthought of long lost war that will never end. Why? Because the United States of America has the money, the craving, and the demand to consume as much drug as it can be supplied with. Latin America grows drugs, but its grown there, made there, IMPORTED here to the CUSTOMERS! Its not the landscaper mowing lawns, cooking your food in a nice restaurant, taking care of your kids at day care, NO, its the never ending hunger this country's HUNGER has for Drugs, so naturally the supply will always be there, because the demand is greater! I only leave this post because I believe in our Country's Laws, but am above the ignorance most americans seem to have, locally, nationally, and even more on the world level! Look around you, watch the news, I believe we have much bigger problems to deal with, God is our only judge, where wiil you be on judgement day?
But let us not ignore the HISTORY of the problem....How the original laws were meant to discriminate against Mexicans and others.
How the big drug control push began on the heels of turning our mentally sick onto the streets to live or die.
How almost all pleas to regard drug addiction as a mental health issue (as has been successful in most of the world) have been denied in favor of incarceration prompted by guard's unions.

And yet, after wasting billion$ of dollars they only want to continue doing the same things over and over like a bunch of insane animals.

FIX MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES NOW.
