Caution: Spin Zone Ahead, La Habra Heights Politician Joins Twitter

There are 3 comments on the story from Jun 21, 2013, titled Caution: Spin Zone Ahead, La Habra Heights Politician Joins Twitter. In it, reports that:

La Habra Heights, CA - Another local city council member has joined the Twitter world. La Habra Heights Councilman Kyle Miller (@LHHCouncilman) began in May and already has numerous tweets.

While Miller is one of three other local council members who are tweeting, Miller said he's serious about it. There's also a fourth ex-council member.

"I've tweeted more than all of them combined," Miller said.

He's right. Miller already has 109 tweets since he began. Whittier Councilman Fernando Dutra (@Dutra4Whittier), Pico Rivera Councilman Brent Tercero (@BrentTercero_CM), Juanita Trujillo (@JTrujillo90670) and former La Habra Heights Councilman Howard Vipperman (@Vip540) have a total of 48 combined.

It's been since March 24 for Trujillo and Feb. 23 for Tercero. However, Dutra's last tweet was June 8.

Like others, Miller sees Twitter as another communication tool. "I saw it as another platform or another portal to get information out to the residents about the cities and surroundings we work with," Miller said.

So far, so good, Miller said. "It's been great," he said. "I'm still building my followers. I'm putting out things the city wants to get out there."

La Habra Heights resident George Edwardz, who has his own twitter account, "The Avocado Express, (@LaHabraHeights)" sees Miller's tweets as more "propaganda" for the city.

"He's going to post his point of view and only the city's," he said. Still, the more the merrier, Edwards said.

"I think the public in general should embrace Twitter for instant information," Edwardz said. "Everybody should get on Twitter."

Looks like Kyle Miller has a Twitter doppelganger

Kyle Miller convinced La Habra Journal and Whittier Daily News to do puff pieces about his being on Twitter, "in order to inform the public".

The next day, he takes his Twitter site private so the public cannot see it.

Care to explain Mr. Miller?

Looks to me that George doesn't like the taste of his own medicine.
