This act of senseless violence is a tragedy.
The young man who was killed was a friend of my son's. They have played baseball together since they were 14 years old. He was not a gang member.
He was a good kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time...I think that when you mix alcohol with stupidity, things like this happen. Then if you throw a gun into the mix, the results can be deadly.
I hope that the shooter is punished to the fullest extent of the law. I don't want to hear that somehow this shooter gets away with this, because of some technicality. He is a murderer, and he should be punished as such.
My heart goes out to the victim's parents. They are wonderful people. I only hope that God will see them through this terrible time.

my roomate was friends with Chris. R.I.P. he was too young. man, FUCK crooked cops. the man who shot Chris was allegedly an off duty LAPD. he took his gun and shot Chris twice in the neck. he knew what he was doing and he had no reason to do it, he had no reason to shoot Chris' homie too. the cop wasnt even involved in the original arguement.

Funny to hear how life comes and go. Sad to even say that 2 lives are taken from this incident. The thing is not to point the finger at what happen, or even a individual here. The question is can we find a reason to forgive and move. Shit happens for a reason, and even though I cant find one for this doesnt mean there isnt one. Now weather the shooter was LAPD or not. Sometimes a good deed may go wrong, and this is why I say two lives are taken from this. Both sides had a family and friends who loved them very much. Although alcohol plays a part in this can you really hold all parties responsible knowing this? I'm not here to make anyone mad or show any disrespect just trying to open an eye from someone outside looking in.

There was no good deed one man died and the wounded was his friend. This should have never happened Chris was the most awesome person I even met and he NEVER get so out of control where some asshole needed to kill him. The MURDERER had absolutly nothing to do with the fight. He was just a drunk loser that moments before was cut off from buying more drinks from the bar. MY Prayers are with my friend Chris and his family. May your murderer rot in prison for the rest of his life.

The more information that I hear, the worse this gets. It was so senseless. I do not understand how things got so out of hand. I feel so bad for Chris's family and friends. My son has been so upset about this. He loved Chris. If anything positive can come out of this, it would be that people need to realize that there are a lot of crazy people out there, and it is NOT WORTH losing your life over some stupid argument. Please remember that! When your parents tell you that they love you and be careful whenever you leave the house, this is why. They don't ever want to be the ones getting that terrible phone call.
Please pray for Chris and his family. I hope that God can give them some kind of peace.

May Chris's dear soul RIP 4ever and may Clair begin a speedy and healthy recovery too. The skateboard communities prayers are with both victims, families and also with all the friends that may have witnessed such a senseless act of ignorance by the gunman. Stay strong and keep your heads up and remember how each of these victims have all brought smiles to our faces one day. They will always be in our prayers.
