Can someone please explain to me why a Grandparent would be sitting in the back of a jr. High class taking notes.
Has this principal had a mental evaluation?

That was The Elliott's grandfather, he is a retired principal. He was in the 6th grade classroom, evaluating Ms. Worrell class. It appears he is now employed by our fearless leader, who is in the habit of employing only those that support her!!

What a joke! I don't know why anyone would want to return next year. This has gotten so ridiculous...it is embarrassing. June can't come fast enough. I feel like this was a wasted year for all our students. So sad.

Wow-if my child was in 6th grade I would want an explanation for why a grandparent (ex principal or not) is sitting in my child's class! Why is this necessary? What are we talking about here? Is there an issue that we need to be made aware of? Is the 6th gr teacher-that has been teaching all year long (not to mention for years) all of a sudden inadequate? Or was he there evaluating the students? If so, why? I wouldn't want some "parent" sitting in my child's class and staring at them. And why aren't the parents told? Is he a staff member? Hired help?
I have no idea who works there anymore. This place is more and more out of control everyday. No accountability and no rhyme or reason. Just some person making decisions, having other people do her dirty work & deliver her messages, and hiding behind scripture and shrugging off all of us parents in the name of God. It's a shame.

Why wait get a jump on the summer. The admin is subpar, all the good teachers are leaving. Don't waste anymore time. Pitbull barb is a drunk bully with no class. Cat can't even follow her own rules. My kids are starting their summer vacation early next week, not going to pay another cent. I should get a refund for this substandard education provided by cat.

Totally agree! Take your kids out now! Why subject your kids to one more day of that circus of a school! Leave this school in the dust like the administration left our kids and good families in the dust! See you later Catherine Carvahlo! I'm taking my family on to a better place! Today! I'm not giving you one more day! My kids just got 3 more weeks of Summer Vacation!!!!

The sad thing is, ultimately there is no way to save our school. You can count us in as another family leaving, with multiple children as well. The once proud tradition that was St. Brunos is now gone. The ship is sinking and I will not be one of the those left without a lifeboat.

Sister Catherine Carvalho has taken everybody down with her, and I mean everyone. She has flexed her muscles and done everything she can do to get rid of good teachers (btw 2 more big names are walking throught the exit door as we speak). She is keeping or promoting kiss ass teachers who have no business teaching. She has hired some thug to keep the peace, which has obviously not worked. All the while Father Michael Reardon stands nearby playing "nearer my god to thee" while the ship sinks and Sister Catherine bounces around the school yard with her bolt on's (yes I said it) and a big grin on her face.

She has no one to hold her accountable because the archdiocese will do nothing to protect its school that has lost over $400K in tuition. Do the math, its not hard to figure out, if over 100 kids are leaving @$400 a pop...well. Of course this is no surprise as this is the same archdiocese that swept the molesting priest issues under the rug, they don't want another black eye. So we are left with Father Reardon to protect those families who have been with the Parish for decades, yet he does nothing.

Why? I wish I knew.

What I do know is his lack of action and leadership has allowed her to run reckless, threaten parents as she wishes and hide behind her pitbull. The "returning parents" meeting will be a joke, and if Sister Catherine has any guts she will allow for Q&A.

The next big article that you will read in the Whittier Daily News will/ be the closure of St. Bruno's.

R.I.P St. Bruno's.....

P.S. How do I get an invite to next years St.Patricks Day party with the Staff, I hear that party rocks!

This is the right thing to do. Stop exposing the children to the clown show.
The kids will be fine with an early exit.

So we are losing the first grade teacher as well. Rumor has it they are taking the failed TK teacher and putting her in as a first grade teacher of some form. The former nun is forcing out those who did not go along with her new policies but cannot replace them because next years enrollment is going to be too low. Father may not care now but when he sees his congregation and the $$$ dry up he will care real quick.
Lets see if carnival is a failure like the fish fry was.
The fish fry was far from a failure and it sounds like you want the carnival to flop. How could that be good for the parish community (all of us).

My God People move on. It's like you love to have something to complain about. I'm not saying that I disagree with any of you but it seems that most of you are only happy if you have something to bitch about. Pull your kid and move on.

Which fish fry are you speaking? Bruno's fish fry was a failure compared to the net profit from previous years. The carnival speaks for itself. It financially failed and with the incident with staff it was the ultimate failure.

People are moving on but if the administration won't disclose the truth, it's the responsibility of the community to get the truth out. Are you afraid of the truth or afraid for the truth to get out?

Old Fashioned, why would you look forward to hearing that the carnival took a big loss? The proceeds go to our community, the people of the parish and school. As I said earlier, I am not disagreeing with any of you about what is going on at the school. Are you that miserable of a person? PULL YOUR KID OUT NOW AND MOVE ON!

Telling parents to pull their children out of the school is so wrong. 174 children are not returning next year because of the poor decisions of the principal. If anymore leave its crazy. By the way what are the reason anyone would stay at Bruno. Seems as the majority has spoken and the school has failed
