Hey "Past Patent", stay in the past and just go away. We don't care about your opinion. You
"Past Patents" have been the worst kind of representation for any school and especially the Catholic Church. Why can't any current or new parent defend the school without you people trying to bully them. Take your opinions to your new school and see if that administration will listen to your vindictive opinion. I wouldn't bet on that happening. As other have already said, LEAVE ST. BRUNO ALONE! Nobody who is willing to give St.Bruno a fair chance cares what you have to say anymore! Bye! Bye!

You can most definitely defend your school. People have been asking for facts to support your claims but you respond with insults. You and people like you are what give the school a bad name.

By the way, if you have been following this blog you would realize that "past parent" is in fact from the past and wasn't around for all the evil that was brought to our school.

"Past parent" was saddened and angered that the once thriving st. Bruno's has turned to a struggling school. There are many parishioners and "past parents" that are rightfully concerned about their community. Especially, when they worked so hard to help keep the reputation and quality of the school. Remember, these people donate money and time as parishioners and are stakholders.

So we have read the past posts...I find it hard to believe that two principles from other catholic high schools pulled their kids from Saint Bruno's....do they know something we don't? What the heck did we get ourselves into. We called the administration for some answers but we have not been called back yet...

Believe it because they really did pull their kids out and so did I. Good luck with that call back.

Psst! I'm going to let you in on a secret. The Archdiocese wants OUT of education altogether. Enrollment is down in all schools - intentionally. When enrollment gets low enough, they'll close the school and, ironically, blame low attendance as the reason for the closure "despite their best efforts to raise enrollment". That's what happened at Daniel Murphy High School in Los Angeles and it's what you're going to start seeing at other schools throughout the Archdiocese. The properties will be sold to developers or will be leased to public school districts to be used as charter schools.

I know, personally, the two families that pulled their kids...it's that bad! We've pulled ours as well, along with half the school. And as for a call back? This administration dodges the parents with the hard questions. And the parents who pursue them for answers? Well their children are expelled from the school.(I know all you Carvalho lovers are going to dispute this but come on....you know it's true!). Good luck....

Just read this blog...OMG...I wish we would have known about this before we registered our children at this school....how could all of this happened and no one from the church stepped in to help resolve these differences...

New SB parent. I am so sorry that you have been caught in the middle of all the ugliness that is on this blog. The past parents of SBS want to see nothing but the school sink into the ground. They can be very mean and ugly, and quite frankly I wish they would leave our school alone once and for all. They are a huge reason for all the chaos that occurred during the past school year. Of course you have questions, and understandably so. I hope that you try to block all of the negativity that you are reading here and keep an open mind. I know that you will get your questions answered, and I hope you keep your children at the school. I am confidant that SBS will survive and continue to thrive, and we have a lot to look forward to in this upcoming school year!

Oh get over yourself Sunshine! Why would any of us want to see the school fail? We have been a part of this community for twelve years...leaving was not an easy decision. Please do not preach how it was the parents' fault for all the chaos last year. You know as well as I the fault lies within the current administration. It is just wrong for you lie about the real reason the school has failed. New parents have a right to know what has transpired at Bruno's so they can make a rational decision.

Sorry....I would just like to see this parent make an educated decision and not get their information from you bozos on such a disgusting forum. Just because you happen not to agree SB is still a great school with a lot to offer. We are going to have a great year. I hope that all you past parents do as well at you new schools, and let our school be a peaceful community once again!!

I do hope you have a great year. I agree parents should not judge the school solely from this site. It is a good measure of the type of people your standing next to in church and a good indication that something clearly went wrong. I know you've been monitoring the blog so please remember we are encouraging further research. Don't you think it's important to research schools? I think it's important to know about the new teachers, new teaching assignments, who is teaching 6th grade, etc. Credentials are a key factor since the principal promised all credentialed teachers in her efforts towards becoming a blue ribbon school. Shouldn't parents know that the principal has a problem keeping her word and will only answer questions behind closed doors one on one? There have been several opportunities for truth and transparency. Will you be passing out a flier to all families with stalkers name, make of car and picture? We've been waiting for that since 11/28. He has a history of violating his restraining order and coming on campus. It's not far fetched that he could do it again. Why don't you encourage research and prove me wrong......

Oh get over yourself. None of you people cared about the so-called stalker last year when your children remained at St. Bruno. I hate to re-hash this stuff because we all know the so-called Stalker is not the reason anybody pulled their chuldren. Put the facts out there please. The so-called Stalker has been out of state for a year now and has not been seen near St. Bruno. Please leave the principal alone and respect her legal rights to privacy. Why can't you all let the school year start relatively peaceful. Why such a vendetta? God help all of you!

Wow! You are so off base here. Once again, here is an ignorant person trying to speak for the majority. Maybe the principal needs to leave the school so she can receive this privacy you feel she rightly deserves. And how can you be so sure this deranged stalker is out of the picture? Are you his parole officer? Once again, don't think so!

I think what surprises me most about reading all of these comments is that there are people out there who think that the parents of 210 children are wrong and were troublemakers. If 10 or 15 kids were pulled due to the stalker or other issues that's one thing. But when over 200 children are not returning that is a big fat sign of a major problem. For those people returning look around on the first day of school and see how empty it is vs. last year when 300+ kids ran amuck amid the laughter and screams of anticipation over a new year. With the new uniform policy and the sadly diminished attendance numbers (90 or so if that) something tells me we are looking at a stepford school environment. We all know where the blame lies, some just have their heads buried in the sand.

This is the last question or comment. I will not entertain your vendetta and fuel your fire. Why didn't you or the many others pull your children immediately if you felt the so-called stalker was so threatening? This stuff must be placed in the past or unfortunately more families need to not re-enroll their children if they are genuinely afraid. You apparently have done that. Lastly, as many supportive parents have continuely reiterated, PLEASE let us alone and give our children a chance for a bright new school year. You and others are so vindictive. Again, God help you and good luck at your new school.

As a total outsider that has closely followed this story there is something critical that you have left out. Carvalho's lies and deception drove the good families away. She directly lied to the parents at the very first parent meeting concerning the stalker. Later when parents questioned her they were shown the door. As parents realized how untruthful and deceptive she was and is they withdrew from the school. Some parents waited until the school year ended because they were conflicted about interrupting their child's schooling. All families that withdrew their children for this school year realized that they couldn't send their children to a school where they couldn't believe or trust the principal.(There is not enough room to list all of her deceptions.

As a total outsider you seem to speak quite a bit on behalf of the anti-Bruno's parents. Here are the facts. Ms. Carvalho came into a school and started making positve changes. The faculty immideatly had problems with it and then began spreading negivitve talk about her. Then the stalker scandal happens which ends up to be a lot of nothing, but enough to fuel people's fires for a while. Nothing comes out of the whole stalker thing, and positive change continues to be made at the school. However the faculty is not open to the the change, and now knows how many people dislike Ms. Carvalho due to the stalker non situation. Basically all the parents that have left are upset because they along with the faculty have lost thier sense of entitlement. So many people have walked around that school for years, parents and teachers, acting like they owned the place. Now that their is a new sheriff in town calling the shots and making changes these people can't hang. That's what you see on this blog all of the nasty true colors of these parents that feel that they have lost entitlement to a school.
