Move on "Whittier Dad", you have been commenting too long for a school you have left. Good luck in controlling and bullying the existing parents at your new school. Just leave the community alone!

What planet are you on? You people will stop at nothing to close the school down. If you have left SBS, do not worry about who is credentialed or not. It's disgusting and unhealthy how addicted you are to the credentials of CURRENT SBS teachers. Why do you care? It is our school now! Not yours!

What's your name so I could look up your credentials? So far I've only been able to find 2 credentialed teachers of the few remaining.
Which teacher's are waiting in line? The teacher that started 1st grade and left after 3 days? The other teachers offered 1st grade that declined (before the current 1st grade teacher accepted)? the substitute teachers that refused to come back? Maybe, it's all the newly graduated college students that are looking for experience. Just curious because most schools post this information on their websites. It's usually a marketing technique to show what a great education the school can provide.
By the way, you might want to rethink the way you address people since you are a teacher representing St. Bruno.

Vested in bullying and intimidation. What are your credentials for teaching or running a school?

I stand as a Catholic husband and father who in partnership with my wife make the decisions necessary for the appropriate upbringing of our children as we try to follow God's directions. The decisions are sometimes difficult and not necessarily what I want. That is all that I am.

That is why you decided to post on this blog about WASC and SB accreditations. Even going as far as to add the link so that bitter past parents like yourself can call and report SB. Not such a Catholic move. Why do you people care what happens to our school now that you are gone. You should be focusing on your new school, with your
"Better" education. I beg you, please, leave our community alone, as you are no longer a part of it.

I am sorry you are hurt by everything going on around you. My family is hurt too. Not one person in the school has gone unscathed. I cannot in good conscience stand by and let horror reign without putting up some fight. Some people are ready to lay down and take the abuse, or ignore it, or hope it fades away. That is not me. We were not involved in any committees governing the school. We didn't belong to some offsite parent organization. We went to parent teacher conferences. We put our hours in as required. Somethings we put more hours in because we enjoyed it, other things we did the minimum (bingo). We went to all the school events. We met with the new principals every year there was a turnover. We had our concerns as each child went through first grade because we had heard all the "stories".

I remember when our oldest was in Kindergarten and we went to our first Christmas Concert. My wife laughed at me and called me a sap when she saw I had tears in my eyes, she thought I was over the moon seeing our little girl. I told her it wasn't just our child, it was all the children up at the front of our church, every one of them was just so beautiful. We were new parents at the school, I looked around and saw other families I didn't know: parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Everyone was smiling and happy. Then the next class went up and sang their songs. I saw what our future would be for the next twelve years as our kids would each have their first year at Saint Bruno then graduate from grade to grade.

My siblings and I were baptized at Saint Bruno. My parents couldn't afford sending us to Saint Bruno school but we completed CCD here. In 1978 while in grade school I remember Father Reardon as a fresh young priest from Ireland. Way back then my best friend's family would always have the new priests over to their home for dinner every month or so because his mom was certain they weren't eating well in the rectory. My family was here when they built McCormick Hall, we were here when the parish center was built, we were here when Father O'Dwyer put what he called "the most expensive hole" in the roof of the church. One of my brothers was married in Saint Bruno and his children were all baptized here as well. My wife and I were married in her family's parish church but our home is in Whittier, Saint Bruno has always been our parish.

I understand your desire that people like me go away hoping that we're the real problem, but that's not true. I hear you telling me that Saint Bruno is no longer my community, but you have to see that's not true either. So I will keep standing up for Saint Bruno because Saint Bruno has always been here for my family.

I apologize for being snarky, I was unkind.

"Cat" will not be leaving. She is doing exactly what she was hired to do at St. Bruno... Clean house... and is it any wonder? She is staying regardless of what you speculate may be happening. You think the archdioces is oblivious to this whole situation? They have know for years that St. Bruno is the "problem child " with its revolving door of principles and its inability to enforce and adhere to policy. They have been apprised of every event since the beginning and they support her... not you and your tribe of rebels. By the way, if you think that she has failed.. you couldn't be more wrong. Success has everything to do with quality not quantity. The student enrollment may be less but that was anticipated, expected and necessary. You, of course would see that as failure but the archdioces and the rest of us do not. By the way..... you talk of litigation?...you know nothing.

Hey pops, I know teachers who are staying, and have more education and experience then you have in your little finger. I can tell by your lack of critical thinking. Besides that, there are excellent teacher who are waiting in line to get into SBS and understand professionalism.
You are misrepresenting the truth there is not a line of teacher waiting to be hired. Cat hired one earlier in the year lasted one day when she realized the leadership was very strange. You have a teacher that received her masters from the online school of university of Phoenix we all know thst does not count. University of Phoenix really. Go to a real mortar and brick school and Esrn your masters as we had to in past. Another teacher with a degree in interior design teaching my child. Really. You get rid of a good teach with a degree in history from university arizona with credentials. Your children are losing figure it out. Your children depend on you

This is hilarious. Our God is watching both sides of this fiasco. You have each side praying to God to destroy the opposite side. You have the principal requesting her prayers in the school news letter you have the pastor asking for prayers for the school every breath he takes. God will not take side with you dummies. He's looking at the two leaders with a tear a deep hurt and the two sides you have no choices. God will help those that help themselves. Gods will has been done here. Unfortunately with free will comes poor leadership

Really, Pops! You must have your credential from community college, maybe? It was announced that all teacher "who are offered" a job for next year have or are working on their credentials. A couple teachers who got laid off, don't. That's the teachers your blabbing about....ridiculous!
One who got laid off, according to her own facebook page, took 12 years to get her credential. Really!!! How embarrassing is that!! Sweep Sweep, clean, clean....bad month the school and you're gone. I'm getting the picture, how about you? Pops, start using that big old education you have!!!
