i live across the street from reg.park and it is very creepy at night. but the creepiest place in
lm is the house i grew up in and still live in. a family friend told my aunt there was a little boy sitting on her bed. my sister had some friends over when we were kids and the livingroom light was flickering.(it was strange)then when my husband moved in he was walking into what is now our bedroom and said he saw what appered to be a figure of a heft man sitting on the bed, when he turned on the light it was gone. he desribed my grandfather who had lived there, but he died in sep. 1995. 11 years before i met my husband! walking to the kicthen at night i have seen shadows of a woman and a child. it's creepy!(i live on the same side of the cemetary)

It does not creepy until AFTER October.

The month of November is the best time to see the "swamp gas" and talk to the nasty spirits.

The hidden cemetery area near the 605 and Norwalk HS is one of the best. But creek park is now probably equal.

Between Aug 1983 and Dec 1986, I used to walk to and from work through Creek Park from Santa Gertrudes, along the horse trail, up to the shopping center that is now Home Depot. I did this at different times during the night and pre-dawn hours. Not once did I ever experience anything paranormal. There is an extension to the park on the otherwise of Imperial Hwy. Maybe that's where people are seeing the little girl, until I see footage and proof, I look at the Creek Park ghost as nothing but an urban legend.

I like the witch of Gemco reference. How about the witch of Boy's Market, previously located at the Albertsons site? It is said that the old olive grove located on the Biola Unv property is haunted. I do recall the story of the kid drowning in regional lake. I heard he was on acid. We used to drive through the olive lawn cemetary with the lights off on the weekends just for yucks. And I do remember the LM Regional Park Fourth of July Celebrations. They used to have Black Knights paratroopers and lots of cool booths, ice sliding, etc. I remember the riot that broke out where everyone was throwing bloomflowers and bottle rockets at the sheriffs.Insane. Anyone remember the KROQ frisbee disc championships? Good Times

i heard that at night over the bridge ..there's a walkway up the hill and you can hear a little girl calling for her mother...some have even seen her ghost at the top of that stair case.Ive aalso heard that back in the 80's there were alot of satanic rituals going on up there.I heard there was this guy who was almost attacked by a punker gang member and he felt an evil presence all around ...he says that something blocked him from getting hurt..like an angel....he's a born-again now...
True story, I have an EVP(electronic voice phenomenon) of a lil girl, its very clear as she whispers a word. Got it while I was standing on the stairs at Creek Park. Have had people listen and were totally tripping out. Funny thing is didn't know stairs were haunted by a girl until I read this. Now I have a background story to go with my EVP

Begs the question - why were you casually hanging out at the parks stairs with a recoder if you did not know the stairs were haunted? That puts the creep in creek park.

Waly Disney was also familiar with this creek park ghost story. He was very moved by it,and wanted to preserve the story for future generations, so he wrote it into the script for the welcome to the haunted mansion recording. Note that the whole story centers around ghosts. At the very end of the ride when you are walking out, there is a small blue ghost figure off to your left. that is his image of the creek park ghost. If you don't believe me, look it up on the internet.
"When hinges creek in doorless chambers, and strange and frighening sounds echo through the halls... whenever candlelights flicker, though the air is deathly still; that is the time when ghosts are present - practicing their terror with ghoulish delight,"

We were there because we did hear that the park was haunted. That was it, just haunted. So we went with a voice recorder and video camera. I didn't know that it was haunted by a girl so seeing this post and having the recording, it was just a 'whoa' moment. We were just having fun & that's what I stumbled upon. Just wanted to share.

Got it. That makes sense. Any chance you could link a sound file so we can hear it? I would be very interested.

LMAO that was everyone smoking dope and trippin on acid. The guy that got beat up by the punker was actually beat up for trying to steal some of the drugs. As soon as he gave the punker back the drugs the punker would not let anyone else touch him and he ran off.
Wow how stories change over the years.
As far as the little girl, that is the witch because Home Depot took over some of their hollow ground. it was used as a ploy to get Home Depot not move there and to keep customers out of the store. We see how well all that worked out, ha ha ha losers!
I'd like to hear some more about them Korean ghost chicks which is supposed to haunt Creek Park 'bout the time of the Korean new year. Hear their kimchi is a real treat.

They was a copule kids there in about '83 or so, got dirty at night rolling in the grasses at Creek park. Neighbors next to park called sheriff's cos it was so late. When police got there they only found shoes, and on the grass imprints of angel wings. It's written in the official police files that year in La Mirada.

Hmm. Sounds like something by Gabriel García Márquez. How big were the wing prints?
