I attended both Hutchison (Kindergarten thru 2nd) and Gardenhill (3rd thru 5th) I had a great Kindergarten Teacher name Mrs Heart and my 1st and 2nd grade teacher was Mrs Eagan. 3rd I don't remember for some reason. 4th grade at Gardenhill I had Mrs Yamagucchi. Very nice lady! All my teachers in La Mirada were great except one guy at Neff High School wasn't real nice. Ironically can't remember his name.

I had Mrs. Keating in 1968. She was a wonderful teacher.

Mr. White - Gardenhill 1979 7th grade - way cool. I do remeber Mrs Yamagucchi -she was nice. There was also another lady named Mrs Yamaknoha (probably got that spelling wrong) Actually, all the teachers were pretty cool. Anyone remember Mr Busch, Mr Bee, Mr Ball, Ms. Ryburn? The principal back then was Mr Henry. He was always pretty quiet. We used to have a saying that went Mr Bee popped Mr Ball and Mrs Yamaknoha went ha ha ha all the way home. There were no middle schools back then, so we went from 7th grade at Gardenhill to 8th grade at La Mirada High School. Great times looking back.

I attended Escalona during that same time and yes, Mrs. Keating was the best teacher ever. I wish I could find her to tell her that and what a positive impact she made in my life. I am forever grateful for her coming into my life when she did.

I attended Escalona from 1977-1984 and I remember her well. She wasn't my teacher but I knew her. I am not sure if she is still teaching, but I know for sure that she has moved on from Escalona. I spoke to the principal there a couple years ago and she informed me all of the teachers from 1984 and beyond have moved on.
Hello, I too was a student at Escalona Elementary between 1977-1984 (N. Brown) and I am trying to find any forwarding contact information for my former teacher Mrs. Keating. During my time in her class (7th grade), she made a positive impact in my life during a very stressful time. My mom was battling leukemia in the hospital and there was alot of stress at home. She didnít know how bad things were at home but knew enough to give love, understanding and positive direction to young impressionable girl. I have never forgotten her. I have been working in higher education for 12 years to help other students achieve their educational goals as well as earning my MBA. I truly believe she set me straight and I just wanted to find her to say "thank you".

I had Mrs. Shoepack in 1980 & she was a wonderful, kind, compassionate teacher. I had some major personal problems & she was always kind when redirecting my attitude.=)

I also had Mrs. Beaty. I was not very kind to her & hope she can forgive me for being such a brat. Mr. Schmity was the janitor at the time & we made up a horrible song about them.=0
