Walnut lowers flags in honor of Monica Quan; extra patrols ordered for city
City Hall has lowered its flags to half-staff in honor of former Walnut High School basketball star Monica Quan, who was killed along with her fiance in an Irvine parking garage allegedly by former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner.

The lowering of flags is something that is supposed to be reserved for dignitaries & high ranking officials.

BTW, hearing that guy from CSUF claim that she was innocent was amusing.
