Boy, 9, shot in legs while playing in Rowland Heights yard

A 9-year-old boy was shot and wounded in both legs as he played in a yard Wednesday night, authorities said.

Ok so these so called gang leaders need to get their little stupid soldiers and knock some sense into them. Allowing these dirt bags to do hits and drive bys on children. How much respect can you get from shooting a kid. Trigger happy lil punks. Its dumb to say some day gangs will be extinct but you all know that will never happen. I pary for a speedy recovery for the lil boy. One more thing, parents why would you let your kids play in a alley??? Its sad that I dont let my own kids play in front yard anymore.

Conservative is right on the money... A massive effort from State, County Fed and local law enforcement needs to be done. Arrest all probation and parole violators, more gang injunctions are needed. I'm tired of hearing that $$$ is needed for these efforts. Where are the court's priorities? The last 2 sweeps that took place was in response to a LA County Sheriff deputy being killed.The people are sick and tired of this crap! Policemen are NOT the only valuable members of society. Start treating every senseless shooting as though it were a peace officer and the message will be clear.

It said they were playing in a yard in the alley. Maybe the yard backs up to the alley and it is actually off the alley... It doesn't matter where the kids are playing, they should be able to play anywhere. These stupid punks don't own any land, hell they probably don't own anything so they need to stop playing the bad guys and do something right in society...

Do a sweep of all Gang Members, put them in a bullet proof building and let them have a t each other.. The last member standing wins, and gets to be shot by a parent of an innocent child that was shot to death.. That's it, then each time a new gang member decides to shoot someone immediately shoot them. That would stop alot of it... Just my opinion... I know it's probably not moral but when someone goes to jail they seem to have more rights than the victims they've hurt and that's just not right. Our system is screwed so why not start somewhere to make it better.

Shooting and/or killing innocent victims is how these punk cholos "earn their stripes" within the gang. It doesn't matter who it is. It's not safe out there anymore and police can't be everywhere all the time. This is happening all too often. I hope the innocent victims grow up to become the cops and attorneys that put those punk cholos away for life!
