It was very scary...I had just gotten home from work....helicopters and police all over.....I went into my house and locked the doors and checked the house not knowing what was going on...then my phone rang....it was the Brea police to notify to stay indoors that 3 armed black men were running about the neighborhood....I grabbed my weapons.....secured my house....as my heart pounded....I could hear the police outside....very frightening....all is safe now..thank you God.....WOW.....such excitement - however excitement I would rather be without. Thank you Brea police.

None of the suspects were black. I think it was mostly Sheriffs that made the arrest aided by a K-9 who bit one of the suspects.
Pretty bizarre for Brea...

To be clear - and not prejudice......it was the message from the Brea police department to my home which stated that there was 3 black suspects.....this is not something that I just assumed. This would be a horrible assumption on my part

Actually, they were black. I saw two of them, in cuffs.

Duane~ You need to get your facts straight and what does it matter who made the arrest (Brea PD or Sheriff)? Our neighborhood is a little safer tonight and that's what matters.

They were black, it does matter for identification you idiots. I was hoping they would have jumped in my yard, I would have saved the tax payers some money.

All three suspects left in custody thanks to the hard work of the Sheriff's department with back up from the Brea PD. The situation was very tense. what upsets me is that the media mentions that Arovista school was in lock-down, when the majority of the students had already gone home...just the after school program kids were there with staff...no one mentions that Christ Lutheran Church and School on that very same short street had their entire student body still on campus in class! The staff at Christ Lutheran were advised by the Brea PD to lock down and all safety procedures were followed including not letting parents past the gates onto campus to retrieve their children until the police gave the "all-clear." The staff was amazing...I was a parent waiting in the parking lot to pick up my child for over an hour and had every confidence in the staff that my child was safe and secure!

Thank you for your update! My son did say his little friend went to Christ Lutheran and that his Instagram said they were on lockdown too! So good to know it all ended well and the police & school did their jobs! We sure don't pay either of them enough!
