I don't know how the accident happened, but I did drive by that morning and saw him lying on the ground. I saw him almost every morning riding his bike up colima rd.- slowly but surely. My prayers got out to you and your family.

Hans,
I just heard about Klaus's tragic death. My family has known Klaus and his children for many years. He was a great guy and it is hard to believe this could happen.
I'm so sorry for your family.

My father knew Klaus for over tweenty years they met while working together, my father (Jorge Sr.)always spoke highly of his friend Klaus; they kept close contact with each other and every other Saturday my parents would visit him at his home. Unknowingly of his untimely death my parents went over to visit this Saturday just to find out that Klaus is no longer with us. I am so sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart to know how much Klaus loved my parents, he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. -Jorge

Hello Hans, We have been good friends with Klaus for the last 8-10 years. We were called by his daughters and given the terrible news. A part of our life has been taken and it is so sad. We hope to see you at the family gathering on the 25th. Our prayers go out to you and the family.

Dear Hans, My heart goes out to you and your family and it is hard to find words at the tragic loss of your brother. I had the pleasure and joy of meeting Klaus through Irmgard and Mike. We shared wonderful times at the Hollywood Bowl together and memorable evenings at my friends Irmgard and Mike. We all loved Klaus and miss him terribly!

My heart is burdened and overcome by sadness. I want to awaken and find that it was a bad, bad dream.
To my cousins, I love you. My heart goes out to you and I lift you up in prayer. I keep asking God for a peace to surpass all understanding. I hope it comes soon.
I love you...

Just got back from the memorial for Klaus. It was good to see so many friends and family members there to show their support and honor Klaus's life. In the surroundings of his home and gardens, one was reminded of his love for his family and his appreciation of nature's beauty. He lived his life well.

Oh Hans and Chris, I'm so saddened to hear about Klaus. My sister's husband went through this last year with his own brother being hit and killed by a bus in Washington state.(he was chasing his dog across the road). And yes, we could look it up on the internet and see video of all of it. It was hard to come to terms with; it's just not something you ever plan on happening. Please know that your friends also share your pain. I'm certain that Klaus is in a far better place and now knows the answers that plague us about life and death. You are truly in our thoughts. We love you, Sandy & Tom
