ALL cars from check points should have 30 day holds. NO DUI cars should be given back the next day after they sober up. No drivers license-illlegal.....expired tags-illegal.......expired drivers license-illegal, they all get 30 day holds.......add DUI.
The good thing is we have the money to get our cars the next day. Thats why they call us the hard working people..........

You know what's funny,I go through many of these checkpoints and I'm not harrashed, nor are my rights trampled on and my vehicle is not impounded. Maybe because I'm following the law. Don't use that they pick on minorities crap because I am one and I look like it too. If you have your papers in order and driving legally you have nothing to worry about.
If the department makes a little money out of lawbreakers why should I have a problem with it? I followed the law, maybe you should do so too. It's in all of our best interest.
Good for you! So u want an award or wat?

It's not the job of law enforcement to "make money."
The United States imprisons more people than any other country on the planet. "the land of the free" is the home of the jailed. There are several reasons for this obscene statistic. One of them is that there is a lot of money to be made in locking people up, fining them, harassing them.
These DUI checkpoints are simply an end run around the constitution. A way to make "illegal stops" not only legal, but a commonplace and every day profiteering activity.
That's why I chose to Boycott the Pigs years ago. They don't make any money off me, anymore!

RACIST!!!!!!!!!!
I am an American who happens to be of Hispanic roots(not Mexican) and I have not felt harassed at these checkpoints. I actually feel safer that Police are finally being proactive against lawbreakers. I fear for my kids being on the road with people who are totally irresponsible enough not to be trained, licensed and insured to drive. I also believe that we are being way too timid by letting these lawbreakers walk away from these infractions. If it was a typical citizen who was caught breaking one of these codes, the law would likely throw the book at him.

Check points are Unconstitutional you stupid idiots. The 4th Amendment, part of the Bill of Rights, of the US Constitution, the law of the land, is explicit. Before all of you hurt yourself from your ignorance, you should know what the law is, morons.

And if you don't like, just admit you're a fascist, communist traitor to the republic. Case closed.

Hey idiot...I never had my car impounded and have clean driving record, full insured, and registered. I'm just merely stating the facts. You know what facts are right or did they not teach that to you in school?

Good!!! Get those drunks and vehicle law offenders. These checkpoints in no way target a specific race of people. They only target lawbreakers. The only reason Latinos are up in arms is because they live in such dense populations all over the place.

Hopefully they are able to catch a few unlicensed drivers and get them off the streets so we can prevent another baby from getting killed.
Baldwin Park Police and their crooked tow company Royal Coaches was selling the impounded vehicles back to unlicensed drivers. They were not taking the license plates off as required by law. and they conduct their auto auction in Spanish only. Every Thursday Royal Crookroaches puts these same cars back on the road with unlicensed drivers. No transfer of title, no sales tax, No record of who buys them.

Baldwin Park Police Tow Company puts these vehicles back in the hands of unlicensed drivers at the same rate the police takes them off the road.

Public Safety my Asss Its all about the revenue and the kick backs to the cops.

You're a dolt Michael. I see that reasoning isn't your strong point but with the absolute freedoms we enjoy here people, well at least some people, go beyond responsible behavior and up in the joint. That's where they belong Mike because even with the countles freedoms we enjoy we are also responsible for our own behavioe which includes the obeying of the laws of the land.

If you can't handle that Mike move out of the country, I'm sure that you'll find plenty of places that will let you do whatever your little heart desires no matter the harm your actions might do to others.

Lastly Mike, in case you hadn't noticed we have way more idiots on the streets that need to be in jail though I'm sure with your blinders on while walking around town you never notice them. All you have to do is look at the headlines or listen to the news each day and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Your quote is b.s. as is the whiner website you used as your source.

Good luck with that move and finding more freedoms absent responsibility in your new country.
