I live a stones throw away from here and it has always smelt like rotten eggs. read the link above from La Times 1988. Way before any water treatment was put in here. Oh and not to mention my mailman of 25 years got cancer and died within about 2 weeks. Something is up at this place and it aint good. I drive by it everyday and every single day is stinks like rotten eggs.

I live in Whittier off of Mills which turns into Florence. Part of this factory is located on Florence. I drive by this place all the time and the horrible smell that comes from this place is like sulfer or rotton eggs. When you drive by this place the smell is so over-powering. I would tell myself if this is how I feel driving by imagine the poor people who live/work by here...how they feel. Before I would have to drive by to smell it now i can smell it from a whole different city. It's about time these agencies are making the company accountalbe for this. I also don't believe this smell is not harmful. I drive with my windows down due to not having a/c in my car right now and everytime I have to pass this place my breath is litterly taken from me and I've felt dizzy in nauceaous. People may wonder how would I get these affects just from driving by...well here's how. Florece is a heavy traveled street as it leads to the 5 and 605 freeway. There is a lot of traffic back up on Florence and Norwalk Blvd. There has been times I have been stopped for minuets waiting for the light to change so I can breathe again with clean air.

Thank you for adding the LA Times link. Wow!! I was shocked to read this. All these years later and still some of the same complaints are going on. I think now this place is a water treatment facility.
