I felt bad for his family seeing his lifeless body laying there on the road. There have been a few fatal motorcycle accidents at this same intersection over the past few years. They need to put an arrow light signal there. My condolances to the family.

I saw his lifeless body laying there last night as I was traveling westbound on Badillo. It's an eerie feeling that overwhelms you. I agree with PFH, a arrow light needs to be installed at this intersection asap! My sincere condolences goes out to his family! RIP!!

I actually live like 2 lights away from this accident scene. I was going to the gym at night (around 9:15PM) when I saw the cops blocked off the whole intersection and there was of course all kind of people watching and even saw a dude video recording it.

I take it that the person driving the car's last name was BURTON . its sad that the person on the bike had to pass on . Motorcyclist watch out for those notorious LEFT turns . Another thing that is too bad is the Tribune writers who wrote this piece . You did not introduce the cars driver at any time in the story, untill at the end you give only the last name . I dont mean to be too critical but dam , how much do they pay you ?.........

Yes, those left turns by cars in front of motorcycles are very dangerous. But according to the article, the motorcyclist was making the left turn.

This is probably due to someone driving in a hurry or was distracted. They should install "left turn" cameras at that intersection.

Alfredo was my daughters boyfriend of 7yrs. He was the love of her life and always will be. Alfredo loved life, he was caring, smart, driven, compassionate, one of the good guys. It breaks our hearts...so sudden, so tragic...so unnecessary. He will be in our hearts and souls for eternity and we will all meet again one day. Valerie my sweet daughter ...you are so strong and I am sooooo very proud of you...Alfredo is watching over you now and he will always be with you. He loved you, his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. He has a wonderful loving family and great friends who will love him until eternity. We will always love you and we miss you like crazy!!! We know you are OK... but not a day will ever go by without us thinking of you. Our hearts are broken into a million pieces but we must go on. Alfredo-a son, brother, uncle, friend and soulmate...WE LOVE YOU!

I'm also his cousin. I'm in pieces over this. I had so many "firsts" with him. The best friend I ever had is now gone, I'm going to miss him so much. He taught me so much, he showed me so many things. Rest in peace, bruv.

Not given, the posted speed of the woman driver. It was given that her estimated speed was 45 mph. Souds pretty fast for a residential scene - more like 30 or 35 was the posted speed. Was the woman on her cell phone? Note: a green light is NOT your right of way. It is a conditional - if the road is clear. Obviously it was not. She HIT the motorcyclist turning left. At least she should have been ticketed, and let the court sort it out. By bro.
