Murderers & a -holes in general roam the streets and they round up kids doing minmal damage and they call that a success?Success and Pomona should not be used in the same sentence!

Why r these urban expressionist being arrested by the police. I am shock and outraged!!! Pomona defeated the "nazi" traffic stops as describes from Pomona Council woman Carissa...Certainly, the city council will value and protect these young artful urban artists!!!

Graffiti is a crime, I would hate owning a business and it be vandalized. But why not crack down on issues like prostitution, drug sales, loitering and the growing number of homeless going on throughout the city?

Specialized units are working to find vandals but where are the "specialized units" for those concerns?

Specialized units? Due to Pomona leaders decisions over the last 20 years Pomona will never have specialized units ever again. The businesses are all gone, tax base is gone, money is gone, No more income, no more reserves. Pomona is swirling the toilet and as I said a year ago, crime will increase significantly in the near future. Less cops, less money, bad leadership in city council. Pomona has zero shot in the future. Sad but true state of affairs.

There should be a new federal law REQUIRING citizens to shoot, on sight, anyone caught tagging. Period.

Pomona's leaders have made this city what it is - poor, gang-ridden, haven for illegals, a deathzone for quality businesses. All for personal gain or for appeasement to racist groups. The blight is evident on all the main thoroughfares.
What the city needs is a large flush valve and a long sewer line southward.

Emily, your an idiot. Let me come tag your house or scratch some shit on your windows. I turned in some taggers who were taggin the sidewalk in front of my apartment just the other day and it felt great. I just wish i could have shuved the spray paint can up that little cock roaches ass. They have no respect for anyone or anything. I don't want my town to look like tijuana, and if the cock roaches do they need to go live there and hopefully take you with them.

LOL... You must be one of those urban expressionist moms who is an absolute idiot. The city needs to protect itself from people like you and your values. You are the reason why America's children are so screwed up and why society is going down hill!!

Its nice to know my 4 year old kid has better values than you!!

I'd like to know who attends these Neighborhood Watch meetings and who complains about "quality of life" issues. Are these meetings in all neighborhoods and attended by all races? Are they attended by a handful of whites angry at a changing community?
As we all know, graffiti is most prevalent in the Latino community. Are the Latinos that attend these meetings and complain about quality of life the same Latinos that turn a blind eye to illegal Latino immigration? Now tell me the influx of illegal immigration hasn't hastened the poverty, crime and gangs that come from the abundance of transient illegals that don't have any personal interest in Pomona's long term well being and only see it as a safe haven free from prosecution. Graffiti is a symptom - not the root cause and attacking a sympton alone is futile.
If the Latinos want an improved quality of life, they know perfectly well where to start.

It still wouldnt work, being a graffiti artist, i know most taggers, since gangs and shit have gotten more balls to shoot, taggers now roll mostly in cars getting dropped off while through cell phones or walkie talkies the driver keeps a eye out, and most taggers carry guns, incase a gangster or someone tries to Pull one out on them, ITS YOU BEFORE ANYONE RIGHT? CORRECT so its still just gonna end up a shootout and some lame wannabe hero getting his ass beat over trying to stop a vandal from spray painting? Its like mexican police not interfearing with drug cartels cuz for the salary they get their lifes aint worth risking. Google how many innocent people have died trying to stop a tagger, youd be surprised they lose their lifes... all just for that? not worth it... Pomona is a shithole, crime is just going up and up and gangs getting more and more active.

Emily,

"Urban expressionists"?? "Young artful urban artists"!? Next time I get the urge to express my artful tendencies I'll take a spray can to your house, or a pair of keys to your car...Let's see how self-righteously indignant you are THEN about defending these poor wittle babies when it's your OWN property that's vandlized!

"Urban expressionists"?? has a urban artist expressed themselfs on your house and keyd your car? I think it might be a littel bit diffrent. advertizements are pushed in our faces everyday, 1800 get slim is stuck in my head, for what? thats what the people in charge have there minds set on, there making it seem like there going after the graffiti problem but thats just a blindfold so we wont see that there letting hookers and drug dealers off the hook, but giveing taggers 8 years in prison. I understand that somebody vandelizing the street you grew up on is really hurtfull and makes you want to kill them. Mabey killing isnt the anser in the case, mabey it would be better to help these kids befor they pick up a gun, instead of just having a marker. graffiti is going to be a ongoing problem untell the comunity has programs that can explane to the graffiti artist that theres schools and they can make tons of money, but it wont be on the streets of pomona with a sharpie. graffiti art and other art can be used to brighten up corupt citys like pomona.
