Any one know why the state closed down the Irwindale Amvets Monday. I heard that a lot of money is missing. Can any one confirm.

My sources are saying that Baldwin park mayor Lozano conspired with Obama and that they both personally went to amvets in BP and stole their camper. Can anyone confirm? I wish I would have been there to catch them, but I was busy blowing my boyfriend greg "tiny dong" tuttle.

The AMVETS Post 113 in Irwindale, has their gates locked after being temporarily shut down this week on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.(San Gabriel Valley Tribune

IRWINDALE >> Officials temporarily suspended the Irwindale AMVETS’ post so that the organization’s financial books can be reviewed, California Cmdr. Jerry Guevara said Tuesday.

No fundraisers, meetings or activities can be held at the Post  113, 14910 E. Los Angeles St., until the suspension is lifted, Guevara said. The suspension took effect earlier this month, he said.

“There are remedies that they can take care of in order to be removed from that status,” said Guevara.

AMVETS is a veterans service organization that has 12,000 members statewide at about 40 posts.

Guevara said it is unusual for a post to be temporarily suspended.

He declined to release specific reasons why the post was put on suspension because the action occurred in a closed session. He said the post was given a set of guidelines to follow in June, however, officials were unable to provide the information the state agency requested.

“Our only recourse was to put them in temporary suspension,” said Guevara.

Two other organizations operate out of the Post  113’ s headquarters — the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary and the Sons of AMVETS. Their activities can continue, Guevara said.

The canteen/bar, hall rentals and use of post vehicles will also be prohibited during the suspension, according to Arthur Perez, the post’s first vice commander.

The post has until March to provide information to the state agency or further sanctions may be put in place, Guevara said.
