That name sounds famaliar. I wonder if he was in my class. I don't know what is wrong with young teachers today. I don't think they were taught about not having relationships with their students. It seems like common sense. But, I think they need to start teaching about ethics of this kind of stuff in the college campuses more.

Its not time to work at a school to relive your highschool days.

I didnt see the part where it said she was being molested or raped. It said relaitionship. Yeah hes crazy for messing with a kid but at the same time she could have said no and tell an adult that he was hitting on her.

Sadly, there is really nothing new about this phenomenon. When I was in high school over 30 years ago, there were several students who "dated" teachers. In fact, my basketball coach was so involved with one student, he ultimately divorced his wife and married her. The came together to my older brother's 30 year class reunion back in 2006, of which the woman was a member.

The way things are today, however, a teacher would have to be out of his/her mind to even think about getting involved with a minor, so obviously there are many teachers who are crazy, since we read of a new incident almost every other week.

The punishment for a teacher preying on a student should be much more severe. This person abused their position for personal gain..I think he should be castrated.

just finished my credential program, and NOPE they don't say ANYTHING about not having relationships with students. Yes, it's common sense, but MAYBE, just MAYBE they should discuss what is not appropriate.

I agree that it's illegal regardless, but sometimes I wonder if it's the student seducing the teacher or the teacher seducing the student. It could be either way. Not all 15 year olds are "innocent". But they ARE still underage regardless and that needs to be respected.

No, it didn't say molested or raped. But it did say "had sex". And that's illegal if she is a minor and there is more than a couple years difference in their ages. He knew better.

Less than 1% of teachers are stupid enough to mess around with students, but it does happen.

And I 100% agree that he should have known better, but at what age do we stop defending kids as when THEY too should know better? Shouldn't kids know better by the time they're in high school? I'm pretty sure she wasnt brain washed.

these teachers never learn! This guy knew what he wanted BEFORE he became a teacher. Beign a teacher only made his wants easier to get. No matter how slutty some of these school-age girls are, ya gotta keep your hands off them until they turn 18-then HAVE AT IT ALLLLL YOU WANT!! Moreno, you are an idiot!

maybe you should read the penal code, section 261.5 will teach you what you cannot do and let you know what the consequences are, fool. do you really need someone to tell you that you cannot have sex with a minor?

I completely agree w/some of the posts that say some of these girls are willing participants. Though the law says they cannot consent, they sure do play the slutty role very well! SOciety has allowed this nation to become more and more sexualized than ever before. Look at the dolls they make for little girls - skimpy shorts, make up and high heels, just like a street walker!! Mother's let their girls leave the house looking like whores. Then we wonder why teens get pregnant and let the cycle start all over again - young mother's who have no clue how to raise a baby/young fathers who don't hang around, and if they do, have no clue what they heck they are doing. SAD SAD SAD! I have to teach my infant son to have psycho-radar to stay away from these slutty girls!
