Two African-Americans have resolutions pending at the General Assembly at Columbia,South Carolina. One is to establish "A Eartha Kitt Day in S.C." and the other is to name U.S.Highway 301 from Interstate 26 to Homestead Road to honor the late political figure Thomas Moss. Both South Carolinians have contributed greatly to South Carolina and beyond. One wishes that both resolutions are confirmed. I am a native of Orangeburg,South Carolina Rosa Mavins Bogar

I will always treasure the award that I received in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr. from the City of Mpls, Mn. in 1989. I have been sharing this honor ever since. I feel that is the purpose of accepting one. This is truly keeping ones legacy alive! Dr. King left us with some great wisdon of life It has been forty three years now, that King went to the mountian top But, I think that he is looking down on us each day. So, people let us all live our best life, and remember there is still room for heroes like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Rosa Mavins Bogar I am a native of Orangeburg, south Carolina.
