Is Chazy a friendly and safe place to locate to? Is the town run by a single polictical family and their friends? How are the taxes, water quality, fire department, school system, and food stores? What is there for internet services and cable and telephone services? Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

Are the people friendly or do you have to be born there to be accepted by them?

If your not from the area you will not be accepted. That includes Rouses Point, Champlain, Mooers...all these small towns. Everyone I've met from these area's are rude, mean and small minded. Anyone not born in this area WILL agree. Find a better place to live!

I did move to Chazy and I have found the people nice and I am hoping to meet more. I have found out what sulfur water is! It really does smell ucky, am getting a system. Why does this area have so much sulfur in the water?

I have smelled that when I passed it!! Makes sulfur water smell pretty good.. There seems to be a lot of cow manure smell too. It depends on the way the wind blows.

Like every other Sh*thole, upstate NY, small town......if you do not have 2-3 generations from there, it doesn't matter how long you have been around......you will STILL be an outsider. End of story.

I agree.. if you are not 2-3 generation who are really nobody. Same with getting a job at the school. If you dont know a board member forget it. They go for their own..Everyone know you business before you do and boy is there gossip. Some people just cant mind their business..
