Hearings at Lakemoor police dept? What a joke, like you're going to get a fair chance with those people. Where is my trail in court, I thought this was America?

If you are issued a ticket at an intersection that has a red light camera, then YOU did something wrong. And if you have received multiple tickets at the SAME location, then maybe you shouldn't be driving to begin with since you failed to learn the lesson that your driving stinks!
Boycotting the local businesses because you got a ticket just shows that while you still can't take responsibility for your own actions, you don't have a clue about economics, government or the rules of the road. Maybe its time to grown up, quit whining and find another route to your destination.
Yes, it's possible you did something wrong, like stopping over the white line, not stopping long enough, etc.... Then, GOTCHA, PAY $100. And you don't see a problem with that? I certainly do.

Boycotting businesses is a way to make a statement saying that we don't agree with the way your town operates. I'm all for it.

I am fully grown, and I accept responsibility for my actions. I have been driving for almost 30 years, no tickets, no accidents. I refuse to be another sucker in a system set up to rake in MILLIONS of our hard earned money for a ridiculous infraction.

Treat this intersection like a no turn on red! I never right turn at any of these red light intersections and have never had anyone behind me complain. Preventing the cars behind you from inadvertantly getting ticketed costs the city some revenue.

My daughter, driving my car, was ticketed twice here. The first one I beat because she came to a full stop. I just checked the contest box on the ticket rather than appeared in court. The second she rolled through (very slowly) so I paid.

For those who live in the city, do not vote for the mayor or any incumbent. Let them know why you don't support them.

Perhaps contesting (via checkbox) every ticket would place an administrative burden on the city. Surely, it would cost them money. Perhaps this is the way to go.

Listen to what you just said " the first ticket I beat because she came to a complete stop" and the "second one she rolled through the stop so I paid". So there IS justice to this system. Everyone who gets a ticket should watch their video for free online. If you FULLY stopped then ask for a hearing. If you didn't stop then learn your lesson and stop next time. All this complaining is a joke! If everyone stopped then there would be no revenue generated and the cameras would go away, but since people can't figure that out, the cameras continue to make money. It's not rocket science guys! Red lights mean stop! Now stop complaining and worry about bigger things!

Why don't you read the statements? Either you are just one of the sheeple willing to accept this ridiculous system or you work for the camera companies. If it was that simple than we would not have a problem. The problem is that people may stop over the line, stop than creep a little to see before they can turn, etc, etc etc. Why should I be forced to prove my innocence or pay $100? If you don't get that you are part of the problem. There is absolutely NO justice to this system. Justice has nothing to do with it. Greed is the only reason for these cameras, nothing more.

I got 2 of these "red light extortion" tickets. I went to their "kangaroo" court and actually got off on 1 of them. I discovered that the guy who answers the phone and runs the "court" docket is none other than Terry, the village president of corrupt McCullom Lake. Hmmmmm
Good thing there are no stoplights in McCullom Lake.
These cameras are unconstitutional and have been removed in several states. I wish some lawyer would start a class action suit and bring Lakemoor to its knees!

I have also fought red light corruption / embezzlement ticket in Lakemoor for that BS intersection and won. However, I received two others from that intersection that I decided to just pay and I'm still regretting that decision. I always avoid Lakemoor and especially that intersection. I have already been boycotting any and all businesses in Lakemoor Illinois and will continue to do so.

I hate red light cameras, but felt I stopped (not rolled thrs) but over the white line to see past other cars in the other 2 lanes that were pulled up over their white line. More on that later.

Went in to appeal. Got there right at 12:55 and probably 25 ahead of me. Mr. Tonnigan (retired judge presided). Pledge of Alligiance, he explained the rules, and off we went. Probably 1/2 were dismissed, so it's worth your time. Benefit of the doubt goes to you. Jerks seem to lose.
1. Spacy, late 20's male, kept asking, "how can you ascertain who was driving? Actually Tonnigan ruled case dismissed and asked Space case if he understood. space case said yes I did not stop. Tonnigan" are you sure" SC "yes" thank you-pay the fine. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Couldn't believe those that did NOT view their video beforehand. Like I said, tie goes to you.rought

2. Old guy, upset he'd never got a ticket. Tried to appeal on that basis alone. He had to agree he did not stop-seemed happy it did not go on his record. Look at the video before you come in!!

3. Another older guy brought in a video consultant/pseudo lawyer.
He claimed that film was 32 frames per second, and that for 4 frames his car did not move, constituting a stop. Sounds reasonable, but it turns out other cars in the video that were in the process of turning or driving on Rt. 12 were not moving either, invalidating argument.

4. My case was dismissed, I triggered the camera by stopping over the white line, but showed I did stop before the roadway.

Like I said, Red light cameras suck, it is a speed trap, but I felt proceedings were fair.

good luck

I have received 2 tickets!!!! No laughing matter $200.00 dollars as we all know is not about safety it's about revenue! If it was about safety they would make it no turn on red!!!!!! I'm mad but honestly the only thing I can do is to make sure that they don't ticket me again must admit when I received the 2nd one I went storming in the lake moor police department a WHOLE in the wall (joke) and saw two officers in the parking lot expressed my frustration and asked them it it was against the law everytime I came to that intersection to stop and give the camera the middle finger!!!! I was told it's not against the law to do that funny but not funny! My character has not allowed me to do that!!! Spread the word I don't turn on RED in that intersection if we all take caution and stop there revenue we will win and don't speed in lake moor there money hungry and again don't give them a reason to take your money!!!!!! They need probable cause to pull you over! Otherwise there breaking the law if we all do the right thing we can shut them down (no revunue) and keep in mind 99.9 of us are law abiding citizens lets get even no more revenue for you lake moor police department not personal big brother has eyes for everyone do the right thing that includes lake moor make that intersection NO turn on RED!

Hog wash mates. Don't run red lights and come to a full and complete stop on right turns. It ain't complicated and one heck of a lot easier than catchin them giant squids in Lake Michigan. Some of you have been drinking waaaayyyy too much bilge water. Bet you didn't do the stuff you do when you were a gettin your drivers test. Good enough then. Good enough now.

I just got 1 in the mail. then the next day 2 more. You have to stop then inch up to turn right on route 12 going north. There is no turn on red signs saying it is illegal. This seem almost illegal what they are doing $300 in 1 week seems like a shake down. I live here and pay taxes is there anyone we can call to get these lights taken down. It seems like they are just robbing people for making a simple right hand turn on red(which isn't illegal).
