that is why i asked what the real story was.
And also made the comment to call the police instead of walking away.
As well as keep a card on you for whom to call in an emergency.
But as usual all i got for posting that were stupid rude comments.
Considering he showed up drunk at his ex's house would indicate you are probably right.
And it also proves my point in another thread that drunks need to be taken off the road forever.
DUI should mean loss of drivers licenses. FOREVER.
Maybe you shouldn't jump to a conclusion based on an anonymous rant against someone who can't defend himself because he is DEAD. Why don't you let him rest in peace instead of jumping on the bandwagon.

How did i jump to any conclusion ?
I read the article.
I read all the posts.
I made an informed opinion based on that plus my own views on drunk driving.
As for him being dead well that happens a lot when drunks drive.
Which is why i'm of the opinion they need to be taken off the road.
Anyway i did say the ex should have called the cops. Had she done that maybe he would still be alive. So why am i the heartless one ?
Also i said people need to carry a card or something indicating whom to call in an emergency. Is that heartless too ?
I guess anyone who doesn't bow down to your views is a heartless uniformed person.

LOL now suddenly you feel brave enough to put out a half baked opinion.
Here is some reality for you.
If his family cared for him they wouldn't let him be drunk out on the road.
Even his ex had enough compassion for him to at least drive him around.
The problem was she should have called the cops on him and let them deal with him.
Even my opinions which you can't handle would have saved his life.
What's your big idea that would have helped ?
Yeah right NONE.
All you can say is spew hate towards me and act like i'm the one spewing hate.
I refuse to play that game.
Post your insults if you want but they don't resolve any issues.
At least i post ideas that can work.

Wow. You really need a dose of something. Compassion, understanding, maybe a heart would help. Good luck to you in life pal, you must be a very lonely man.

LOL i love when you guys try to guess about my life you guys always get it wrong.
Sorry to disappoint but i have a good life and a happy family.
I have a lot of understanding in my life.
I understand if a person gets drunk and drives people can and do die.
I have compassion for those who get killed or left behind by the drunks.
My heart goes out to those who have to face the fact that a loved one was killed needlessly and is never coming back.
What amazes me is why you think i'm the bad one because i feel that way.
Why do you defend a drunk who didn't care about his family, other drivers, his ex, or even himself ?
AGAIN i wish his ex would have called the cops and then maybe he would be alive if she had.
Your hate should be towards her not towards me.
Or wrong as he was i didn't want him dead only off the road forever.

There is a time and place for your "opinions". This is not one of them. IMHO that is what is upsetting. If you would like to discuss your feelings about drunk drivers, start a topic. Don't take over a topic about the loss of a young man's life to discuss your feelings on the subject. It's very coldhearted. The fact that you can show no compassion for this young man is indeed very sad.

I beg to differ.
It was posted on topix that makes it this time and place to discuss the ENTIRE situation.
If his being drunk was not an issue then it should not have been mentioned in the article.
LOL i posted on the topix of his death.
Its the others who are posting only about me that are taking over this topic for their own feelings of hate.
As for my compassion i've already stated it in here.
I guess feeling compassion for innocent lives lost because of drunks is lost on you.

I guess the disease of addiction is something you seem to have no understanding of. You may state you have compassion but your words show something completely different. The fact that you can "LOL" at the posts and see no errors in your behavior on this forum shows your true character.

And your preferred alternative would be to show what ?
A false character ?
LOL there is just no pleasing some people.

I guess you didn't read my FIRST post #3 in it i stated i would rather he have been saved by having the cops called by the ex.
Even though i keep mentioning that everyone seems to over look that i've said.

I guess its only compassion if you say something that you define as compassion. Nothing else meets that standard. Sorry to disagree with you. My compassion is for those who are hurt by the actions of drunks.

Are we just to excuse the actions of drunks just because you think its compassion to do so ?
How about saving lives by taking drunks off the road forever.
The drunk stays alive, innocent bystanders stay alive, and even the cars don't get wrecked. Sounds like a win-win all around.
If that isn't real compassion then what do you call that ?

What Is SO SAD is the fact that even in this young mans death - Regardless of his past - you still find it to put him down . the bigger question is it is apparant that you personlly know him & his family if you are on here talking about his brothers sister and family and it is very informative that you are full of information that maybe the police might want to talk to you because if a person is a user they have stuff in their system ALOT and as you speak of him it would sound like there should be something in his system.
SINCE this story sounded fishy - maybe YOU had something to do with his death and YOU should be investigated as naybe you seen an opportunity to get revenge on him and it went to far!

ROTFL here we go again another person who thinks they know me.
As usual you';re way off base.
I don't know the dead guy, his ex, his family, or even his friends.
If he used drugs its news to me. I only know what i read in the article.
He was drunk and he died when his ex left him in the car.
Gee maybe if he was sober he would still be alive.
As for the cops i love cops.
I love talking to them.
They love me because i don't drink and drive.
I'm not a problem for them.
In fact they wish more drivers were like me.
If you can't even figure that much out then you really are clueless about why drinking and driving is dangerous as well as illegal.

I guess you didn't read the article.
Let me help you out.
DRUNK guy drives illegally to his ex house.
Since he's to DRUNK to drive she drives him all around.
They wind up back at her house.
But she's too tired to drive the DRUNK guy home so she just leaves him DRUNK in his car.
Probably because he's too DRUNK to illegally drive he just sleeps it off in the car where he dies.
So what part of DRUNK did you miss in the story ?
Because his being DRUNK and driving is the whole point.
If he was sober he would be alive.
As for me i'm still around because i don't drink.
