Suburban mayor hit with child porn charges

The mayor of Green Oaks was charged Monday with distributing child pornography over the Internet after authorities executed a search warrant at his house, officials said.

I knew Mr. Adams very well, worked with him daily and sat very cloe to him. He was respectfull and thoughtful and there is no doubt in my mind that he must be covering up for his son. There is no way this man would have done anything like this. However, he is a fine, dedicated and wonderful person - I learned much from working side by side with him. Mr. Adams was almost like a father to me - This person is one of the most respectable people I have ever met. I think something else is going on here.

After reading articles like this we tend to forget that people are innocent until proven guilty and that there is often a lot more to things that meet the eye. Unfortunately, because of the type of attention these crimes have been getting due to the proliferation of more sleazebags because of the internet, this man will have to face public humiliation for something he may be innocent of. I believe that it is good for the public to know that police are diligently following up on crimes like this but your comments remind us of the ramifications of even making such an allegation.
