Unfortunately, that's what will happen and they'll carry a record that will follow them forever. Good luck down the road acquiring any meaningful employment.
I'm sure they needed money to pay for monthly expenses and street drugs.
Why work at Walmart when you can steal?
Life for many of these "kids" is different now than it was 15-20 years ago.
Life is bleak.
Where will these kids work when so many jobs are shipped overseas?
Stocking for Walmart at $10.75 an hr?
The college system, it student loans, book costs, parking passes, are a joke. EXPLOITATION

I'm with Goodnews on this one.
I bet Street Fairy would feel different if it was his /er car they broke into.
Most car thieves will break a window if they see goods in the car worth stealing.

Broken car window costs ( even if insured you still pay deductible and your rates might go up )
cost of stolen items
time lost and inconvenience of getting car repaired
fear of being robbed again or confronting a robber in the progress of breaking into your car.

yeah these punks should be locked away for a very long time.

Then there is the flip.
There are plenty of good people out there.
Guys the same age as these two punks who do work hard for small wages while going to school.
Guys who would help someone in need without thinking of a reward.
Those are the guys i care about and feel deserve a break in life.

Punks breaking the law deserve jail.

I was not disagreeing with the fact they should go to jail. Just commenting on the sad state of affairs surrounding much of today's youth. (with a bit of sarcasm thrown in)

Maybe i'm over reacting too.
I've seen a lot of this nonsense of blaming everyone but the guilty person.
Mom & dad failed the person, or school, work, friends, etc.
No one owes these punks anything.
You get what you deserve by working hard towards it.
These two punks worked hard at being criminals and now they are getting what they deserve.
