Formaldehyde has been used by undertakers for many, many years with no bad effects.
It is "bad" only when in a non-ventilated space.
More federal government scare tactics. There may even be a terrorist investigation.

Formaldehyde is also a common out-gassing component of plastics manufacture. Breathing its vapors has been linked to cancer.
Why it would have been dropped in a school bathroom is another matter. It is used as part of a test solution for MDMA. Perhaps someone at the school was attempting clandestine testing for drugs and had an accident.

i currently go to centennial hs and today a student stole a jar of preserved baby rats and poured the rats and the formaldehyde toxin onto a boys bathroom floor in the school. everyone was evacuated and 18 people were treated and 4 people were taken to a hospital including a police officer. school was closed and students were dismissed for the day. and i have no idea if there will be school tomorrow; the school is being aired out right now.

it was def baby rats and the formaldehyde toxin is the reason we had to evacuate... if you breath it in it causes nausea and dizziness and other things.. my mom works at the school and was with the school's principal and assistant principal.. ms. mcgill was one of the people who went to the hospital.. and no one knows why or who did the "prank." and as i said earlier.. ONLY 4 PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL.. ONE WAS A POLICE OFFICER (i think OP) and another was MS. MCGILL.
