Wayne Williams did not receive the death penalty. Had I been on the jury I would not have voted for that. I do not know if he truly was guilty or not. Most of the child murders stopped after his arrest. I do not however believe that if he did it, he did not do all of them. In some cases parents did away with their own children. The insurance companies know that.

Williams wasn't responsible for all of the murdered kids around that time. In any large city, you're going to have kids that end up dead from time to time and some of those cases will go unsolved. When you have a serial child killer on the loose and unsolved child murders in an area, it's lump those cases together and explore all possibilities until you know for sure.

Wayne Williams was only convicted of killing TWO ADULTS. There was a lot of evidence tying him to many of the child murders, but probably not enough for a conviction. I've also heard rumors that one agency in the area recently uncovered more evidence and witnesses that can tie Williams to another of the child victims.

Give up. He did it. Fibers from his house and van were found on multiple victims, along with dog hair that matched his dog's DNA.
Yes, the evidence against him is still too strong for me to believe Williams is innocent. I just can't help wondering how that many people could have been mistaken as to when they last saw Cater alive.

I bet if they were to hang Williams by his feet above a bonfire they would get the truth out of him.

You cant beat the old time methods of the lynch mobs for getting a confession out of a criminal.

I'm watching the try tv episode of this right now. You never know u can't trust anyone now or then. If he is innocent I hope he gets his justice. If he's not then he's paying with the rest of his life. All of the things they r saying on this show kind of sounds like at that time they just needed some one to take the blame. If that is the case this world was sad then and it's sad now. God Bless

Most people that looked at the evidence and other documents know he didn't do this. There were other more viable suspects but they needed someone right away. They picked Mr Williams. The book "The List" was written by an acclaimed investigator. He was on the ground and involved in the investigation from beginning to end. I spoke to him personally about it. He said when they arrested Williams he was shocked. He knew Williams couldn't have done any of the murders.

You guys are seriously confused. Wayne Williams is right where he belongs. He may not be responsible for ALL of "The Atlanta Child Murders." But he's guilty of everything he was convicted of, and he's guilty of many more murders he wasn't convicted of. It seems like some people want him set free because he may not have committed some of the murders that he never even went to trial on! That's crazy!!

The how did his dog's dna end up on some of the victims along with the fibers from the rare carpet he had in his van?? That's a pretty amazing "coincidence."

I followed this case.DNA doesnt make you a murderer.Williams is gay.He was sleeping with those guys. Why wouldnt his DNA be found on them.He was framed.

He was gay. He also had a strong hatred for "ghetto" black kids. Just because he's gay doesn't mean he had sex with everyone he killed. He doesn't mean he had sex with ANYONE he killed. There are lot of serial killers who DON'T have sex with their victims.

People who think he was framed don't know enough about the case. Many think he's in jail because he was convicted of killing ALL of the kids. He wasn't. He wasn't even convicted of killing ONE of the kids!

It's a pretty amazing "coincidence" that he was found standing on a bridge in the middle of the night immediately after a cop under the bridge heard something large fall into the river below. A few days later, a body is found nearby.

Talk to some of the people on the task force, like I have. They'll tell you exactly what I'm telling you. He's good for most of the murders, not all.

Yes, there were people on the task force who doubted his guilt. Their beliefs were based more on racial politics than the facts of the case. Most, if not all, were African Americans who wouldn't accept that an African American did this. For example, Sidney Dorsey. He was featured on a documentary on Wayne Williams where he expressed his doubts. Where is Dorsey now? I think he's three cells away from Wayne Williams because Dorsey was the most corrupt Sheriff ever elected in the state of Georgia and the guy who beat him in the election ASSASSINATED by a few of his deputies just a few days before the new Sheriff was to take office. Forgive me if I don't take HIS word at face value!

I do not know if Wayne Williams killed the children of Atlanta but I do know one fact: He was NEVER tried for one murder of one child, not even one, if they had so much evidence and was sooo sure, why did they not get justice for these children?? Because they were black, and everyone just wanted the problem to go away...there was just too much attention and something needed to be done fast. If Wayne Williams killed those children..prove it...is that really so hard to do if they are so sure he did it?

No, dummy, that wasn't it. It's called $$$. He's already in prison for the rest of his life. Why waste money prosecuting him again and again when he's just going to keep getting life sentences.

The secret society Wayne talks about in his interview on CNN was in my opinion ochestrated by the KKK. They needed help getting into the neighborhoods and a black man would do just that. Why do I feel this way? Because I was with one of the victims Latonya. We were being stalked by a white man in a car with tinted windows. I told my mom and other adults and pointed the man out. He eventually disappeared but that night Latonya was taking out of her bed and killed. I have recently spoken with her brother and he said he was very young and afraid to scream but he saw Wayne Williams come in his window to purposely get Latonya. It was as if he had an order to carry out. That would explain why he was a suspect in some not all. I also believe that officials know this to be true but would rather let Wayne go down by himself. What I can't understand is why "wayne' would let himself go down alone. I believe and hope he will tell the truth before he dies to give the families of the victims closure and help to punish all parties involved. DO THE RIGHT THING WAYNE!
