I stand corrected! CA Title 5 section 5593 does require that Atheltic Team Coaches provide a valid CPR card<quoted text>
CA Education Code section 35179.1(c) states:
It is the intent of the Legislature that the program emphasize the following components:
(6) Training and certification in CPR and first aid.
The State of California uses the word "emphasize," which is not the same as "required" for coaches to have CPR with AED training. If Rohnert Parks High School Athletic League has local rules that require CPR with AED, then that's great. That is not the standard throughout the state.
