It's good to see our tax dollars go to such an impoverished community.

Sadly these kids will be indoctrinated with the radical liberal agenda. It is important for parents to listen to their children and ask questions of what the teachers are teaching them. As it stands now, the radicals are teaching our children that Christopher Columbus was a pirate. Not what we learned. They are also skipping over our founding fathers yet spending months indoctrinating our children on Civil rights. Yes, your child is being indoctrinated to believe big government is a good thing. But that flies in the face of democracy. You want your children to have the same freedom you have don't you? If so, take an active role and challenge teachers, principles and administrators. These people are indoctrinated themselves. They resemble people from Hollywood with a radical agenda more than they do what we would consider a teacher. Teach your children the TRUTH about the environment. Teachers and schools are indoctrinating children via the lies about the environment as to why big government is needed. Just remember, our founding fathers left england because government was large and was supressing its citizens. These teachers are doing the same but you can stop them provided you want them to live in a free society.

Tyler Weitzman, 14, finished at Ross School in June and is heading off to an academy in New Hampshire. He said the renovated school is a far cry from taking classes outdoors when he lived in Israel.

"I haven't seen the inside, but the outside looks great," he said a few minutes before the doors were swung open. "When you're a student, you want as good of a learning environment as you can. When you're in a proper classroom, you just have more respect for school. If everything is organized and clean - even the clothes you wear - it makes a difference. I think the school makes a really good first impression for anybody who comes to Ross."

Spoken like a true Marin, spoiled brat. It's what's on the "outside" that's important.

Yes, and the rich liberals get a spiffy new school with tax dollars while poor neighbirhoods get slum digs. This way the rich liberals can continue to support government education. Their government school looks like a rich private school. Some are more equal than others, eh?

this is just so over-the-top ridiculous. accepting public money for this is unconscionable, and y'all are over-protecting your spawn.

ross school might as well be a private school. it's mostly parent funded and not just anybody can live there. kinda like Tiburon is turning out: world's biggest gated community.

As a long-time member of this school community, I know how tirelessly the teachers at Ross School work and what a great job they are doing for children. This little school works well because it has good teachers and because the community rolls up its sleeves to support those teachers in their mission. Congratulations to the many volunteers who toiled anonymously to finally replace the old dilapidated hulk with a safe, functional and up-to-date facility and thank you to the Ross School community for your support and patience. This community accomplishment is something we truly can all be proud of; it will serve generations of children well.

Why don't you reserve your attacks for people you actually know. This kid is not a Marin native and there is nothing "spoiled" about him or his four siblings. His family is very modest and they moved here from another country a couple of years ago. English is his second language. He has already developed and sold several Iphone apps and has earned a full scholarship to Exeter.
