Ignorant comments should not be allowed to be posted. For the respect of the family, friends, students, and classmates of these girls please be kind and keep your stupidity to yourself. My daughter was fortunate enough to have had Erika Witherspoon as her L.A. teacher this year and we are devestated by this. My son is also friends with her cousin Justin, who is also suffering. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved. We will miss you Ms. Witherspoon!

As a teacher having contact with the twins Angelica, Ericka, Shannon, and their families for many years. I am truly hurting inside for all 3 of the girls. They are truly beautiful young ladies. My heart goes out to their parents and their families. We all loved them, but God loved them best. There is no answer or no words to express God's love for us. He comes when we least expect him. There is no blame and there are no answers. Acceptance, granted serenity, and the strenth to bear it all each and every day.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved. Ms Witherspoon was our son's teacher at Lawton Middle. She was a wonderful teacher and made the classroom a fun place to learn. She was young and energetic and had her full heart in her teaching. She will be missed. Again, to all the families involved, we send our love, thoughts and prayers.

I am truly sorry for both families. I was lucky enough to have met Shannon last year in ENG III Honors, and she was not only beautiful and motivated, but highly intelligent, a student that a teacher will not soon forget...simply a special and classy young lady. You will be missed.

Shannon was a very bright young lady. She knew exactly how many days were left to graduation, and she also got to go to showcase with her wonderful senior project. It's not fair that her life had to be taken like this, it's not fair anyones life has to be taken. RIP Shannon! Bless her family, I'm really sorry for their loss. She was a wonderful girl.. and I'm going to miss her dearly. This year just hasn't been a good year for the Oviedo High school students.

I worked with Shannon's father many years ago. I was not around to watch her grow up, but am not at all surprised to learn from the postings on this site that she was a beautiful and remarkable young woman. What a tragic loss for all who loved her.
