So the neighborhood civic association is against allowing paying to reinstate the prior approvals. What should they do instead? Knock them down and start from scratch or leave the unfinished homes alone to look at indefinitely? So sorry your neighborhood is getting "darker". There are worse problems. Let them pay to finish what they started.

What the heck are you talking about? Don't you read the papers or watch the TV news, TONH did pay the ultimate price, some of their Inspectors were arrested by DA Rices's Office and the entire TONH Building Depatment was turned upside down and revamped. So alleged criminals were punished and fired by the Town, what else can the Town do????

Let me see: We got all the crooks out. The building department gets an expensive paint job,has a whole bunch of new people and a spiffy computer system. It still takes one year to get things done. So the builders get out of RCC. No more big hosues that pay $40-$45k in real estate takes so my taxes go up. Oh and before I forget no more builders fighting to pay Million + for my old 60 year old house.

If your thought is that doing nothing except making sure the criminal developers and crooked politicians do well makes good government, youre right! God forbid they enforce the law, fine the empty criminal houses into oblivion and auction them. Watch how fast the construction starts.
