Another great job of parenting by the rich on the north shore. The mother is just another product of the me generation and to make matters worse they produce offspring like themselves.

He is not in the hospital for the alcohol. I found him first. He is getting his stomach pumped.

Calm yourself, dear. It is my understand that a young boy was hospitalized with alcohol poisoning; this because the other children at this party were much too young to be responsible for their actions. As a result, the nanny was held responsible because the parents of the "host/hostess" of the party were out on the town somewhere. You really should try not to be so much a reactionary - there is much you can learn from the adults on this thread.(Hmmm - do you need a translation?)

You assume he was passed out from drinking.. maybe he OD'd.
To hold the (probably illegal) Au pair responsible for what her spoiled rotten little charges were doing is blatantly absurd. I'm sure she was fearful of losing her job and being deported if she contacted the rich rug rats parents.

I didn't assume anything - the article stated that the boy was found unconscious from alcohol in the driveway. When someone passes out from drinking too much, they have OD'd. As for holding the au pair responsible, I did not blame her - please re-read my post. I believe, ultimately, that the parents are responsible for this; but all those children have to deal with their own responsibility for what happened. If that child dies or suffers permanent brain, liver or kidney damage (and I pray that doesn't happen), how many of the party goers do you think will step up to the plate and take responsibility for their actions? They are all to blame for the state that boy is in today.
