its revolting that the family will not be held responsible, nor the teenagers involved. I feel very sorry for the au pair who has to take the rap for some overprivileged rich teens

If I had a nickle for every keg party that I've ever been to. Almost every weekend in Manhasset or Port Washington, someone was having a keg party replete with beer and weed. I can't even remember how many were thrown under the watchful eyes of parents who preferred that their kids do what they were doing at home instead of in the streets. Now,they've decided to make an example out of the Jamaican nanny.

You have to be some stupid, fat, ugly, cow with no friends. HOW can you hold someone responsible that 1. wasn't there, and 2 had no knowledge about the events??????? Your parents were obviously related before marrying and hatching you.

My dear, might I suggest that you spend an equal amount of time on learning the English language as you did posting this ignorant comment which, because of your lack of knowledge, says absolutely nothing.

That's messed up. Of course, these spoiled ritzy teens that are ever so "goody two-shoes" are going to think they're above the law. Isn't there a law for underage drinking? These kids were 7 years underage!

And why blame a helpless au pair? How was she a social host if she really had no involvement. Mom- it's okay to be concerned about your son, at the same time KNOW WHAT THE HELL HE'S DOING!

Spoiled rich fucks!

It's a lost world. Now that the holiday season is here, there are parties every night. Most parents have no idea what it takes to be one. Saying no is not an option for them. Change the drinking age to 9 and we'll never have to talk about this obvious exercise in futility.
