Doesn't it seem as if building inspectors are constantly being exposed for shady dealings?

More like the ToNH Building Department constantly being exposed for shady dealings...

And why no story on the legacy of bad building plans "approved" with a wink, an envelope, and a nod?

How those plans have "Queens-ified" and devalued neighborhoods and exposed neighbors to permanent loss of property values?

That's the real loss here.

Khorsandi is the only builder arrested in connection with the probe and prosecutors said he could be the last person charged in the case.

What do you know, an arrest of one of many builders that paid bribes to this bum Madden and the rest of them, after two plus years .I like to believe this is the next step of massive arrests conducted by the FBI but I am probably just fantasizing .However ,I can’t believe what I have lived through in this town, that the people aren’t demanding justice concerning Madden. The man was busted forging a CO for a two million dollar home that was just a hole in the ground, for you laymen the house has to be built b/4 a CO is issued. This builder used this illegal instrument to secure a mega mortgage .This man; Patel is in jail, but not Joe Madden, Why? Let’s confront the facts that the DA s office is doing nothing because of political friendship, let’s wake up and demand that this crap is put to bed .The men that allowed this activity in the building dept. are taxing this town to pay for consultants that were never needed in the first place .This BS has to come to an end now! Let’s protest now on the steps of the DA s office for justice let’s keep this blog going and pick a date to protest.
Feed up Tonh tax payer.

What is taking so long with these TONH cases?

Seriously folks, what's the real problem?

The people deserve some closure and justice. The timeline shows the system doesn't work.

You knew plumbing, licenses, permits and drive by inspections and bribes were somehow involved.

The district attorney's office did not identify the inspector they said was the target of the attempted bribe, saying that person "never became the subject of the grand jury's comprehensive indictments."

Prosecutors said the scandal involved building department employees receiving favors in exchange for granting certificates of occupancy and other permits without performing required inspections.

Hold the phone, was the inspector too small a fish to fry? If his inspections, or lack there of, and bribes were involved why wasn't he removed from office to protect the public and property owner's real estate in Nassau County?

Listen up property owners, we are on our own. Hire your own inspectors, engineers or architects to inspect your construction conditions. I don't see that we have much choice.
