Wow, the more you know the uglier it gets. I think School Board Member Alaniz' personal vendetta against the current controlling faction of the School Board is becoming more obvious. His self-named foundation (Charity for Education), this law suit, and the search for dirt on an opposing board member. Not to mention getting a restraining order put on him to protect the current Board President, speaks very poorly for his character. Having said that, he should have gotten all the info he requested. The court will have to decide whether he got it or not.

Well as we all know there are alot of corrupt people in positions of authority around here. Carrizo has been riddled with people using the positions they were assigned to as a favor no doubt for personal gain. This includes some of our own elected officials. Most people will just bury their heads in the sand or just say as long it does not affect me I am alright, well people it does affect you, all this money comes from either your taxes or the Government. This money is intended to help the people of Carrizo. If someone is misusing that money then we have a problem. If these people have nothing to hide then give the guy the records and be done with it. I smell a rat though, so we shall see where this ends up. I guess the city of Carrizo can afford to squander another $75,000 dollars.

I am in the understanding that a housing employee told him that he would xerox all the records but he would have to charge him per page (which is standard practice) and the price would have been expensive. The judge and several others have already looked at this stuff and it keeps getting thrown out due to not enough evidence. It is very obvious that this is a personal issue. Let the feds or whoever take the info and rip through it. If and when they find there is no foul play, does Ricky promise to leave it be or will be look for something else? He is costing the housing authority money for legal fees that could be used for other projects in the community.

If he has nothing to hide, then why not go to court.? We all know that there is alot of abuse in all these elected positions. But nobody does anything about it. I am glad he is stirring things up. I would like to see where this all leads to...

well look at the new board president....talk about mentally absent. she needs to be removed from office, removed from her position at work and removed from society.

as for the self righteousness of mr. alaniz naming the foundation after his family, well, lets see you come up with a foundation that will give back to the community as much as the alaniz foundation promises to give!!!

the problem with you small town losers is that when somebody does something good, like mr alaniz, all you nay sayers have to trash him and try to get in the way of progress. WHY???

Heard he is also saying that some commissioners are using more gas and hydrolic fuels than are needed. Also, that public records show thousands of dollars in excess of fuel being used for personal use. Don't know if these are rumors or not. Should the public know about this? And which commissioners are doing it? Remember might just be gossip around the town, but would love to see the financial statements of expenses.

I work around all these people. And yes, i'm glad to see all of them being investigated. They act like they are untouchable, wasting taxpayer money on stupid things for themselves.
But will anything change? We can vote all these crooked jerks out of office, but then an entire new group of crooked jerks will take their place. Take money out of the picture, and we will see good honest people who want to take part in civil service come forward for these positions.

Alaniz is digging up dirt on everyone, trying to find anything out. What he doesn't see is that others can do the same. No one has said anything about Alaniz being fined by the State Board of Opt. for practicing without a license in 2006 here in Carrizo Springs. Look it up.

totally agree with you. Why doesn't Alaniz make THAT public??!!! He is pointing fingers at every one and he doesn't realize that he has a big stain on his underwear...the funny part is, he hasn't realized it yet, but we are starting to get the smell from it.. he is a freakin crybaby that is mad because he thinks that HE is the only person worthy of being president of the school board
